Lee had to suck down to get away from Fix....Oh well made team stronger.

Why do posters that post on an anonymous message boards think it’s okay to take swipes at kids and make negative comments about young men that are representing our country? Rather than see the positive in a young man that was interviewed after the World Trials and stated how much he wanted to help the United States bring home a team gold, how could that be framed in a negative manner ("had to suck down to get away from Fix") by anyone especially based on individual speculation? Willie Saylor said it best yesterday on his broadcast that Lee was at 50kg because he could make 50KG and at the World Championships you go at your best weight. Willie was dead on. Spyker, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you’re going to be negative and take swipes at kids why don’t you do so under your real name, so we know who you are... We all know who Spencer Lee is and you seem okay with publicly making negative comments about him.

I’ll offer another perspective: good thing for the United States and Fix that Lee was able to make it down to 50kg. It did make our team stronger and we got two medals instead of one from the two wrestlers and medals are hard to come by at the World Championships. Interesting note that Lee beat the kid from AZE that dominated the Russian in the finals that beat Fix at 55KG by a score of 10-0 in the cadet world finals two years ago and Lee has seriously improved since then. By your logic, that means that Lee easily wins 55KG this year. I don't agree, but if I apply your logic, it's a sure thing. Despite what you believe, I don't think that the fact that Fix won on one day almost 18-months ago is not an indicator of a fact that he would have won this year or the very next day for that matter and we all know that to be a fact, because we see it every year. A wrestler wins a match one week to get majored the next against the same opponent. It's also a fact that Lee totally dominated the wrestler from AZE that won 55kg this year and in my opinion that does not mean Lee would have won 55KG this year, although I think he could and would have and again if I'm using your logic, you must agree that you believe that Lee would have won 55KG this year. Here's another opinion, if Fix could make 50KG he would! He would get in the best weight to give himself the best opportunity to win a world title. He is simply too big and can't make the weight or he would. Do you think that Fix can make 50KG, but simply bumps up, because he wants to? No, 55kg is the lowest possible weight he can make. Lee didn't duck anybody, he put himself in the best spot for a World Championship just as any other athlete would have done. Now here is my bias: Spencer Lee is a PA boy and I will admit that I will root for him wherever he wrestles. The match with Fix was one day and after watching them both wrestle this year, I think Lee wins in a rematch and we will soon see that happen and I can't wait.

Spyker, Lee has done things that have never been done in this sport. We should be celebrating his accomplishments as I would if Fix, Hall, Wood or anybody else would have done the same. I was talking to a member of the media that writes on wrestling yesterday and was told that Lee is the youngest junior world champ ever, first back-to-back American male freestyle junior world champion. First wrestler to ever win a cadet world title and then a junior world title the very next year and he thinks the first American male freestyler to win three consecutive age group world titles. Lee is also the first American wrestler to ever make four consecutive world teams by the age of 17. Our state and country should be proud of him, I know I am and yes, I'm a fan, yes I am from PA and yes I’m a PA homer. Despite the fact that I’m a PA Homer and I will always cheer on our PA boys, I will never cast negative aspersions about another wrestler that is putting his or her best efforts in that circle based on personal affiliation, state bias or some other random thoughts or speculation. I wish you would do the same.

You have to understand who you are dealing with. That's all I will say.

Die hard Iowa and Spencer fan...but hope you don't attribute one guy's comments to this board. Breaking up with Spencer was so hard for Spyker. He had at least three fathead wall posters of Lee in his house and a Spencer bobble head on the dash of his Yugo. He had to quit his bowling team that had Spencer's Dad on it ;)

Think Spyker is still on Stage Anger of the seven stages of grief

Everything you said is true, and yet you're more likely to nail jello to a wall.
