Lions win the first one at home 7-2. Solid play in 2nd period when RMU started to push. Second game of the series is tomorrow night at RMU in Pittsburgh. Go State!

Funkey played a solid game in net and for the most part PSU played good defense in front of him. Pavlichev had an outstanding game for the Lions. For awhile it looked like they would have trouble putting RMU away, but then the Lions went on an offensive spurt to runway with it.
