No, my trifocals screwed me up. I corrected to 137.5, but was already quoted. 55 is a stunning margin of victory, Maybe we have a higher goal to shoot for?Do you get 20 extra points for having 5 finalists?

We won by 54 points, 136.5 to 82.5.
Not 75.
Perhaps Iowa's basketball and wrestling teams can give them some pointers?Penn State basketball is as shaky in the big moments as Penn state wrestling is clutch.
Pretty sure Moroni would fall in the false prophet category also, real, or not. Personally, I am an atheist and don't care one way or another. More power to them all.Boy, we really get lost in the weeds when the team title is a formality. Just my thought, but part of me thinks that LDS is like "close enough" to be considered under the Christianity umbrella.
That is Sasso's bread and butter - give up a leg and scramble into a TD. He's very good at this and would have had the tying TD against Yianni with another couple seconds.Wow. That third period was fabulous. Sasso came shockingly close to a tying takedown on a scramble off a shot that Yianni initiated. No stalling there, for sure!
Even more worth noting.Worth noting...
We scored 40 points above our seed points, with 16 bonus points.
Iowa scored 8 points above their seed points, with 12.5 bonus points.
I am fine with streaming. So who do you thinks broadcasts the tournament? Move the tournament by a week ESPN is busy broadcasting conference basketball tournaments. We can go back to tape delay, or 100 percent streaming.
Haha, amazing. Totally amazing.Thanks. Still amazing.
Absolutely in basketball. Watch the most exciting iowa basketball team in a long time. They play tomorrow at 3pmPerhaps Iowa's basketball and wrestling teams can give them some pointers?
Where is the dislike button?
Agreed. Gross.Where is the dislike button?
55 point margin? I figured Penn State would win comfortably this year, but not this comfortably!Penn State wins 137.5 to 82.5 over Iowa. Only 2 champions but the most balanced team with 8 AA.
Great achievement and what a group of talent to build with. WE ARE BLESSED.
Anybody that wants to get paidSounded more like he’s done. Olympic year then MMA. (?). Hell no! Who would pass up a chance to be a 4 timer.
Huh. I thought they lost to Auburn in the first round and were out.Absolutely in basketball. Watch the most exciting iowa basketball team in a long time. They play tomorrow at 3pm
Be careful what you wish for.Where is the dislike button?
"Gumby". I mentioned this yesterday, but had it not been for Yianni's insane flexibility when Murin had him very close to nearfall criteria he would have lost that match and not been a 4-timer. Yianni had several razor-close Finals matches against McKenna and Meredith also. It just goes to show how miniscule the margin for error is sometimes.Gumby Diakamaholis…Yianni is just so unorthodox

I don't either. They are giving it to the 4 timer with a dominant loss.I hope you are right. I want Starocci to win. I just don’t think it happens.
2 first, 3 second , 2 thirds, and 1 -7th and a 54 point win. So a great year for the good guys.
Things some here seemed to forget.Arujau beat RBY twice a few years ago in freestyle. Was hoping for the opposite result, but wasn't thrilled when Arujau bumped up to 133.
The tournament is currently broadcast nationally so we should move it a week so it won't be broadcast nationally.I am fine with streaming.
Probably worth noting that Greg is 20 lbs heavier this year and maybe that is a factor? Not quite as fast. Hard to say from my seat. Parris was on fire. No doubt.Agreed. When a guy like Parris is beating on you and dominating in top position, you aren't going to seem as spry as if you were fresh.
Parris beat Kerk the first time they wrestled and most attributed it to Kerk only wrestling part of the year and recovering from an injury that kept him from being his best. Then last year, Kerk won 3x in a row. One thing Kerk did was an awesome adjustment by controlling Mason's left wrist while in neutral. He was able to slow Parris down and hit the swing single and get takedowns. Last year, Mason looked slow.
Parris adjusted this year. He didn't allow Kerkvliet to control his wrist and he sat back a little, waiting to counter Kerk's shots rather than be ultra aggressive as he is with against others. He was able to take advantage of wrestling that way and it was a smart move.
I don’t really care who they interview but I should never, ever, ever see their faces during wrestling action. I don’t even care what their view is…from behind their heads. The obligatory interview with Dake of course.
Annoying as #^@ when they do that. 4 active matts and they're they're televising interviews. UghI don’t really care who they interview but I should never, ever, ever see their faces during wrestling action. I don’t even care what their view is…from behind their heads.
Did I say ever???
The also had one wrestler throw 3 places worth of points away and probably 4 bonus points.Worth noting...

They did.Huh. I thought they lost to Auburn in the first round and were out.
Until Vito, Fix was never bonused in college. And if you missed it:Yeah, it's not shocking, except for the level of domination and margin of victory. As stated earlier, don't think that Fix was ever worked the way Vito did in the semis. We have become accustomed to RBY winning every match, but he was outclassed tonight.
He's a junior, for heaven's sake. He isn't going anywhere for his final year!He can't stay at Cornell so he needs to go somewhere outside of the Ivy League. PSU seems to be a good fit for their guys.
Makes sense to me. Beat #1 and 2, and your team comes in 3rd.Until Vito, Fix was never bonused in college. And if you missed it:
"Arujau was named Outstanding Wrestler of the NCAA Championships, and Cornell coach Mike Grey was named tournament Coach of the Year."
Vito as OW I agree with. Cael winning by 55 points, yet Grey winning the CotY is silly. Whatever I guess.Until Vito, Fix was never bonused in college. And if you missed it:
"Arujau was named Outstanding Wrestler of the NCAA Championships, and Cornell coach Mike Grey was named tournament Coach of the Year."
He was not enrolled, he's not done, he's not graduating. The entire team returns with the exception of Yianni, who will be replaced by The One That Got Away.Ivy does not allow grad students, redshirt, or 5th year. Regardless of NCAA eligibility.
His 2021 is unclear -- if he were enrolled, then he's done at Cornell. If he graduates this year, he's done at Cornell.
