Oh ye of little faithWe aren’t beating this team. No one is. I hate it with the white hot passion of a thousand suns, but a team that is up 31-0 on Oregon isn’t losing. I expect them to dismantle Texas too.

I was still on ESPN 2, my mistake.
Somehow, Oregon getting blown out reflects badly on Franklin, in the minds of some. They just haven't figured out HOW it reflects badly on him, just yet. But they'll come up with something.Just goes to show, blowouts can happen at any time.

lol--it will be funny though because after this win if they lose to us, Texas, ND or Georgia without Beck their fan base will lose their mindsSomeone check Eleven Warriors for the fire Day threads.
I don't think we're necessarily top 4.You had me until 3 lol--doesn't matter at this point
We're a top 4 team--hopefully we're the best team
I think Lions definitely win that game if played on grass, but turns out that losing was the best thing for Lions.PSU played their C game and was within striking distance of Oregon. The way PSU was able to run at will on that Oregon front -- that film had to be useful to Ohio State. Their defense is just not that good.
Who cares what the rankings though--on the field we're in the final 4.I don't think we're necessarily top 4.
It looks like OSU will beat Oregon so they will finish 13-1. If PSU loses to GA/ND they will finish 13-3 with a head to head loss to Oregon. If that happens I'd expect Oregon to finish ranked ahead of PSU.
We know that PSU is a very good team but I don't think any of us really knows if we're a top 2 team. #8 Boise is our best win so there's more to prove.Just think, that game should’ve been tied 20-20 with under 5 minutes to go. OSU probably is the best team left, but PSU might be the second best team left.
There's a decent argument Illinois is our best win this year BUT how we beat SMU and Boise State was impressiveWe know that PSU is a very good team but I don't think any of us really knows if we're a top 2 team. #8 Boise is our best win so there's more to prove.
The BiG will definitely have 3 of the top 5 in the final AP rankings.
Christ would you please stop for the love of God? Just quit posting.I don't think we're necessarily top 4.

Well, we didn’t beat Oregon like OSU is beating them so obviously that’s Franklin’s fault.Somehow, Oregon getting blown out reflects badly on Franklin, in the minds of some. They just haven't figured out HOW it reflects badly on him, just yet. But they'll come up with something.
Please let Carter be near 100% for semi game. There's a decent argument Illinois is our best win this year BUT how we beat SMU and Boise State was impressive
We have a great shot to beat ND/UGa/Texas
I don't think anyone would feel comfortable against Ohio State right now but we're reasonably the second best team with the set backs Georgia has faced.
Folks often seem to forget that the players still have to execute the given game plan. It's not like the coaches can strap up and physically do it for them.Franklin hasn’t won some of the big games we wish he would over the years. But the team always shows up and plays their hearts out. You don’t ever see this.
I was still on ESPN 2, my mistake.
You're 100% right. Ultimately the win or loss falls on the coaches even if the players fail to execute.Folks often seem to forget that the players still have to execute the given game plan. It's not like the coaches can strap up and physically do it for them.
That you Paul?Oregon should never had been in the tournament, they are getting destroyed. Alabama should have been there.
McAfee also made it very clear, along with Saban, that our "dudes" are paid well.Regarding NIL, McAfee said yesterday that Penn State has the most CEOs. I googled it. There was a 2018 study of 12,000 CEOs and their LinkedIn accounts. Penn State degrees were 2nd to only Stanford. Ahead of every Ivy.
The first two were both double-digit underdogs though. But came out flat, trueOhio State's playing crazy good, but Oregon did come out flat. 3 weeks off didn't help them at all. So far, the bye teams have all lost.
Maybe not if they lose this one 52-14 or something like that, which seems possible.I don't think we're necessarily top 4.

I heard we have the 14th or 15th biggest NIL bag, which aligns with our latest recruiting class ranking. 🤔McAfee also made it very clear, along with Saban, that our "dudes" are paid well.
I think our "NIL struggles" are exaggerated
Our info may just not leak as much as some others
Let's not pretend Allar isn't getting paid very, very, very well to return

Interesting take. Hadn’t thought of that. But also don’t think Texas is that good.I was glad to see Texas pull out that win. I didn't want a free trip to the Natty for either Ohio State or Oregon. 😝
I definitely agree that this playoff brings out the real top 4 and not pretenders like years past.Maybe I'm alone--but after March Madness does anyone check the rankings to see where their team is ranked or do you just think "We maybe the Sweet Sixteen (or Elite Eight/Final Four)"
Whatever the pollsters say...the final four teams are the top 4 teams. Oregon had a great season but this is when games matter the most and they didn't show up. Yet anyway
I think it was Richey, but one of the writers for this site said that study isn’t remotely accurate. The collectives don’t release their financials.
Yeah, I don't believe the estimates at all--good find--I'm skeptical
They didn't look it today but that's a talented defense. I'm not sure if ASU could even be within 30 at the halfInteresting take. Hadn’t thought of that. But also don’t think Texas is that good.
