As indicated earlier, Nolf is a RS freshman this year, which is exactly what IMar was last year.
IMar got a major, TF, or pin in 24 of his 35. His two closest decisions were to James Green. He defeated him 2-0 in a dual, and 3-2 in the NCAA semis. His other closest decisions came in the Midlands finals were he defeated Cody Pack (South Dakota St.) 6-3, and in the Roadrunner finals were he defeated Max Hvolbek (Stanford) 9-6.
Generally when you get 2 elite wrestlers going at it, there's not a lot of scoring, as each is difficult to take down, and they're wary of taking shots unless there is a clear opening.
Then again, we could get lucky and be treated to an all-out, high scoring battle. IMar only had one match like that last year. In the Roadrunner semis, he defeated Alex Elder (Oregon St.), 18-13.
FWIW, IMar has been even more dominant this season. He's TFed or pinned every opponent but 2. On the flip side, the competition he's faced hasn't been all that stellar. His decisions were 2-0 over Oliver Pierce (Ariz. St), and 11-5 over JoJo Smith (Okla. St.) in the Reno Tournament of Champions.
