George Mason FR Nate Higley just pinned his way into the MAC finals.

For reference: 2 years ago he went 27-2 for Sullivan County. His 2 losses were in the finals of Super Regionals and states, both by 2nd period fall against some Levi Haines dude.

Somehow this did not get Lock Haven HWT Isaac Reid a DQ.

Lock Haven coach and former PSU wrestler Scott Moore was wrestling Bald Eagle Area's Cory Guenot in the NW AAA regional semi-finals. Things were not going well for Coach Moore and while in a tight tie up Coach Moore may have tried to land a few upper cuts.

Notes
• At 125, #1-seed Cardinale (WVU) had a bye in first round and only stepped on the mat to inj. def. to #4-seed Witcraft in the 2nd round (Quarters).

• At 125, #2-seed Volk (WYO) had been upset by #7-seed Prata (OK) 4-2 SV in the Quarters.

Updated bracket here:

And for those waiting for B1G consis to resume at 1 pm, a reminder that the ACC Championships start today at 11:00 AM Eastern, streamed via ACCNX (accessible via ESPN+).

So, a nice lineup today:

11:00 AM — ACC 1st Rd

4:30 PM — B1G Finals
5:00 PM — ACC Consi-finals
7:00 PM — ACC Finals
9:00 PM — Big 12 Finals

I think O'Toole might just take out Carr despite his dominant performance 2 weeks ago. Just to make things even more interesting for nationals. 165 is just plain insane this year.

ACC Semis:

125#1 Trombley (NC ST) over #4 Camacho (PITT) 10-5.
125#2 Ventresca (VT) over #3 Wagner (UNC) 3-2.

133#1 Phillippi (PITT) over #5 Yarbrough (UVA) 6-2.
133#3 Orine (NC ST) over #2 Latona (VT) 4-3 (last-minute TD secured w/ a cradle at the edge, no backs).

141#1 Matthews (PITT) over #4 Crook (VT) 6-3.
141#2 Jack (NC ST) over #3 McNeil (UNC) 4-3.

149#1 Henson (VT) over #5 Sherman (UNC) 2-0.
149#2 Arrington (NC ST) over #3 Verkleeren (UVA) 4-3.

157#1 O’Connor (UNC) over #5 Keating (UVA) by 1st Pd Fall.
157#2 Andonian (VT) over #3 Scott (NC ST) 15-9.
• Rock Harrison’s answer when Kenney asked him for an over/under on points to be scored in the match: “272”.
• Scott secured the first TD, but Andonian escaped and then secured a 6-pt throw. I think it was TDs and Es the rest of the way.
• Andonian has traded his locks for a more traditional wrestler’s/military haircut. Maybe he’ll be sharper being able to see what he’s doing.

165#4 Brady (VT) over #1 Heller (PITT) 7-5.
165#2 McCoy (UVA) over #3 Singleton (NC ST) 5-2.

174#1 Lewis (VT) over #5 Marcelli (UVA) 15-3.
174 #2 Faison (NC ST) #3 Augustine (PITT) 3-2.

184#1 Hidlay (NC ST) over #5 Heller (PITT) 23-5.
184#3 Kane (UNC) over #2 Bolen (VT) 4-3 (winning TD in last 10 secs).

197#1 Bonaccorsi (PITT) over #4 Battista (UVA) 12-3.
197#3 Trumble (NC ST) over #2 Smith (VT) 5-1.

285#1 Niesenbaum (DUKE) over #4 Slinger (PITT) 3-2.
285#2 Trephan (NC ST) over #3 Catka (VT) 2-2 TB. Won via 0:01 RT advantage!

Anybody see the ACC HWT match? I'm not sure how what the NC State kid did isn't illegal. Rock said some people might consider that illegal. I would be in that group of people it seems.

Kai Orine stuck Micky Phillippi with a cement mixer on the edge in SV. Hell of a move.

Rock Harrison blew out a lung, needs the commercial break.

Matthews 2-1 over Jack on RT and a lot of blocking from feet. That should lock up a top 3 seed.
