Cowboys actually remind me of some of the old Minny teams: Strong at every weight with no weak spots. Hell of a team that will be very very tough to top in March.

Not all the stats I post are worthless...this one is.
Since 1990 there have been 9 shutouts in championship bouts, or 9 in 270 bouts. Of those 9, 4 were accomplished by PSU wrestlers. 3 were against Iowa guys.
The above proves nothing, except maybe Prescott was a bad match-up for Zaputil (since that was 2 of the 3 for Iowa). In the 27 years noted, PSU had finalists 43 times, Iowa 71 times.
The reason this data is worthless (except for the number of finalists count) is that a shutout win is still only a win. Lots of guys give up escapes, and win in dominating fashion.
