Well you don't know shit about this therapy so you're showing your ignorance with that comment. I have personally treated many people successfully with vertigo and concussions. For your information, the therapy is extremely scientific and intensely mechanical. It takes years of study and effort and practice to become competent. It is by far the most difficult physical therapy skill to learn.
Correct, I am ignorant and I’ll gladly own that. But frankly you sound like equal parts thoroughpissed and therapist.

This reminds me of a hypothetical strategy a former teammate and I used to joke around about:
(1) Go 0-25 during the regular season with all losses by illegal-hold or slam DQ, being sure to inflict major injury;
(2) Cakewalk through states to become champion (because you’re the only guy in the bracket).

We had been imbibing for a while when this ingenious idea was hatched.
My PSU IM softball team was named "Bye."

At the time, PSU didn't post full brackets -- they just posted the next game and time. The other teams saw Bye and didn't show up. We made it all the way to the finals before PSU caught on, and listed us as "Team Bye." Sure enough, we lost.

I’ll be on the road all weekend for a dog rescue mission. Hope you guys do a good job keeping everyone updated.
Thank you for your devotion to dogs. My wife and I have spent 35+ years in dog rescue. Over 1000 wiener dogs rescued through one group. We mostly provided transport, funding and adopted the most abused ones that were not socialized enough for placement. Hard work winning their total trust, but so rewarding when they give themselves over to their new pack.

Why do I get the feeling that it was all YOUR idea?

I wish I could take credit for that, but it was my roommate's idea.

Same roomie said he could get out of any jury duty by saying "I love the Mafia! How can I join?" (He's Italian.) Some of his ideas were better than others.
My gram got called for jury selection. When asked a question, she put her hand to her ear and said “what?” Question was repeated, her answer was repeated. She was dismissed.

Same here…if we ever hit big $ we would open a dog rescue shelter with room for a ton of dogs. We have had rescued mutts ever since we were married.
Since we moved from Crook County, IL to Fishers, IN we've become involved with Hamilton County Humane Society. We've been fortunate with our investments and gave them a substantial donation. My wife went in too look at their rescues, She saw a scrawny little guy cringing in the back of his enclosure. He had been found wandering on the streets, no chip, no ID and after 8 days was still traumatized. My wife went into his enclosure and sat on the floor and just waited. He finally walked over cautiously and sniffed. Then he lifted his leg, peed on her and then her purse. She laughed and said he had marked his territory and she was adopted. After over 6 months and thousands in vet bills, he is well on the mend, his chronic, debilitating cough is gone and he wags his tale in delight. He has gained 40% and walks with confidence and excitement. He's a little toy rat terrier.

One or both of us are always with Ziggy and he has toys galore.

Kinda curious … what was the point of voluntarily forming a softball team, in a league with no real reward (an IM block), only to go out of your way to NOT PLAY? And in the process screw over other teams?

Why bother?

To see if it would work. I’m already thinking about trying the name in my bar cornhole league.

I don't know how we screwed over anybody else. They were supposed to show up anyway, even if only to have the officials declare them winners. If they only sent 1 or 2 guys, that's on them. We showed up every time.

And we stunk. If the other teams had sent 6 guys and 2 gloves, they probably would've beaten us.

The entire point of IM for nearly everybody is the fellowship. So yeah, we bonded. Does anybody else have a better IM story?

Dad got called. DA used to be their attorney. Dad said whatever he says goes. Dad came home early.

Yup! Ahead 6-2 in the third Ramirez came up to one knee from the bottom position without hand control and the Buchanan wrestler (#9 seed) hit a beautiful cradle. That match and the Buchanan wrestler's win in the semis were the points difference that kept Poway High (25 minutes from my house) from winning back-to-back state titles. Poway did have a head-to-head match with Buchanan in the finals but lost. Had they won that match they would have won the state title by 1/2 point. Edit: The cradle has to be one of the scariest moves in that it really is the great equalizer. Carelessly have your head too near your leg and boom! Just another reminder how remarkable 159-0 is.
Poway High School’s most famous grad (Supermodel Stephanie Seymour). Per a college friend who went to HS with her, her mom was even hotter - I don’t know how that could be possible

We had to say goodbye to our very old dog last week. My wife was absolutely heart broken. She found him as a stray in 2010 and he had been her little barnacle ever since. We had rescued another pupper back in July and the very next day we asked the same rescue to let us know if they get in a particular breed and low and behold they had just got a bunch in from a breeder surrender the day before. It is very unusual for them to get this breed of dog so we went up and now we have two dogs again. She is an 11 month old to go with the 5 year old we adopted last July. She was very calm at the rescue but it turns out she is very sassy and seems to be obsessed with our cat. She also very clearly will be ruling the roost over our five year old male. She has already demonstrated to him that she is the boss.

This isn't on the same level of funny for Bye being your team name.

Back when I attended WACC, our IM basketball team from the Electrical Construction group was called the 'Wirenuts' . We were ok.

I have taken the death of our dog last week harder than any death of any human. He was our little guy and I miss him so much. His ashes are scheduled to be delivered back to us today. I cannot wait because I just want to hold him and talk to him again. I get choked up just talking about it. This was the first time my wife or I had to do this ourselves and it was definitely the hardest thing either of us have ever done. We had Lap of Love come out to our house for it and they are absolutely wonderful.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Brought significant tears to my eyes. I have a pug approaching 14 years old. When he is gone, I will be devastated and lost. Again, so very sorry for your pain.

I appreciate that. I know you've probably heard this before but enjoy every second with your pug. Ours was a chihuahua/pug mix. No matter how many years you get with your dog it's never enough.

my one lab would go across the st to the grocery store and bring back whole pies still in the box and eat them on the porch!she also brought home a deer head I was not happy with that!I use to run on the tracks with her and in the neighborhhood all the kids knew her!
