Penn State - Michigan Dual Thread

Someone more knowledgable than me (just about anyone on here) needs to explain to me how that wasn't a takedown at the end.
The referee did not want it to be a takedown, so he did not give it. On the review, self-review is beyond ridiculous. 98 out of a 100 of self reviews are "of course I was right", the other two are so obvious the ref is embarrassed he missed it the first time.
With that said, there really wasn't any good reason the major wasn't secured earlier.

165 is going to be a fulcrum match. Win that and then Brooks should get bonus points and the team will be in good shape.

Precisely. If you put your major in the hands of the ref at the last second, sometimes you get screwed. Leave no doubt.

How much "defensive wrestling" will Embree do against AB? I hope that match isn't as frustrating as I think it may be based on tOSU effort.

Zain turned everyone and would have got the MD in that match.

Lee grinds too much. You get a point for 1 min of RT 2 minutes only gets you 1 RT point too.

I agree. Zain has a feel for turning guys like I have never seen before or since. Lee is more like Freshman Zain who piled up riding time and punished guys physically on top. Lee has never quite developed the turns like ZR

Joe lee that was not a good strategy.

2 periods of nothing. Then not recognizing the mat returns.

No urgency.

PSU guys wrestling too tentatively. That was not a good match from Joe Lee.

AB won’t suffer that problem, I hope.
