Wrestling Penn State/Michigan Dual Thread.

That’s gonna be 2 amine and once again it’s dumb as hell.

It was 2 imho because there's no reaction time in that situation - so I'm not sure Amine had full control of him while he finished circling, but don't think it matters on the 3-points of contact rule.

Here we go
AB vs Matt Finesilver

Pd 1
AB strikes first and then quick release 2-1
AB deep again trying to come out back. Stalemate. AB deep again. Finishes and 4-1. Rides out 1

Pd2
AB starts bottom. Escapes 5-1. AB takedown 7-1. Cuts him 7-2. Stall warning on Finesilver. Ab adds another 9-2. Rides him out.

Pd3
Finesilver down. Quick escape 9-3. Ab almost had a cradle settles for 2. 11-3. Cuts him 11-4. AB in deep then stalemate. AB looking great another td 13-4. Rides out 14-4 win

Oh the call is absolutely right. The officials did their jobs. It’s just silly that a situation like that where no one would call it “control” is an auto TD.

I don't understand the rule. They gave Amine the takedown but then why wasn't Facundo credited with a reversal? Is it that the brick stopped the clock?

It seems to me they shouldn't stop the clock in the mid action like that.

That's what happens now if a replay has a call reversed. The clock is set back to the time of the points scored, so anything that happened after that is now gone. It's unfortunate, but that's how it works.

I don't like the rule. In basketball they call a 3 pt shot but wait til a pause in play to check if the shooter's foot was on the line. If it was they take away a point but they don't go back and reverse everything from the time he took the shot.

Kerk vs Parris

Pd 1
Kerk blast double switches to single then stalemate. 0-0
Lot of hand fighting in this one. Kerk shoots again and nothing. Parris now with a shot and nothing pd 1 ends 0-0

Pd 2
Mason starts down. Kerk riding tough has 36 riding time. Parris escapes 0-1. Kerk deep shot. Parris fighting tough and stalemate. Period ends 0-1

Pd3
Kerk down and out 1-1. Parris on deep double but Kerk fights out and then Kerk on single but mason fights off. Stalling Kerk backing out of bounds. Kerk straight on shot. Parris go behind 1-3

Ends 1-3. Mason Parris wins

Parris obviously very good, but Kerk looked a bit off and then ran out gas in the last minute or so.

Big difference from last season is that Kerk couldn't finish cleanly his leg attacks. Parris knew what was coming and was prepared.

Parris is also reportedly healthier and he seems to look bigger as well. Not as cut as previous years but a bit more hefty.

Kerk didn’t look great. He will get him at big 10’s and then at NCAA’s. Lazy shot to an easy go behind. Parris didn’t do much either
