Jeff Byers sounded concerned with the match at 7-5... starting the 2nd period with Jason Nolf... and within what seemed no time... Byers states with his usual verve... Jason Nolf with the throw... Jason Nolf with the PIN!!! Concern to laughing how fast Jason Nolf can end a match. Lol

that was nice fall... need to see the replay as it was pretty slick the way he set him up... some type of knee pick... Glad I can watch it again with flo!

Still tough to gauge where RBY is relative to top tier competition, but I don't think he could look any better than he's looked against the unranked guys.

I don't think there is a guy at 133lbs that is as quick as RBY. He looks lights out on his feet but you can tell he is very unsure of himself on bottom. This was a perfect match for him to choose bottom for some work and he chose neutral. Cody had to force him to go down.

Jeff Byers sounded concerned with the match at 6-5... starting the 2nd period with Jason Nolf... and before I could get comfortable in my office chair... Byers states with his usual verve... Jason Nolf with the PIN!!! Concern to laughing how fast that happened. Lol

To be honest the Bucknell kid (Hartman?) wrestled Jason tougher than I've seen someone wrestle Jason in a long time. It was only a matter of time, though.

A few thoughts from the arena:

Good to see Schnupp make in match adjustments. Barzona kept ankle diving off the sweep single, Schnupp figured it out on his last 2 shots in the 3rd, very nearly scored on one and did on the other.

RBY is lightning quick. Not really tested but allowed himself to get slowed down. Good to ID areas to work on.

Lee and Berge both have incredible short offense on feet. That will serve them well vs better opponents.

Jason Nolf played with his food before he ate it.

There are probably more than a few guys who are stronger, though, simply because of the age difference.

165: Bo Pipher vs. DJ Hollingshead

Cenzo wasn't feeling well, so Pipher and Manville travelled to Bucknell, and Pipher gets the start.

Bo weighed in a 156.? (I missed the last digit)

Per 1
Bo circles in for the TD, 2-0. Hollingshead gets a reversal, 2-2. Bo gets an esc as they go OOB, 3-2. Things have slowed down after the flurry in the 1st minute. Lots of tie-ups, but not much action. End. 3 sec of RT for Hollingshead

Per 2
Bo takes bottom. He's up, and taken back down. He's to a 4-point stance, but Hollingshead is holding on. Bo to his feet, and taken back to the mat. Bo back to his feet, fighting, stall warning on Hollingshead, and Bo gets out, 4-2. Hollingshead sort of shoots, blocked. End. RT at 1:04 in RT

Per 3
Hollingshead takes bottom. He's up quickly, and is out in 9 sec, 4-3. RT under 1 min. More collar ties. Hollingshead with a single leg shot, Bo reaches back and grabs an ankle, they scramble, and Hollingshead gets the TD, 4-5. 40 sec left. Bo gets the esc, 5-5. Both coaches complain. Seems to be related to the RT. Taking a lot of time to resolve. 27 sec left in the period. Crowd seems to be getting antsy. RT is set to 1:04 for Hollingshead. They start, Bo shoots, he's in, loses it, and gets taken to his back at whistle. A late TD is awarded, plus the RT, makes it 5-8 for Hollingshead

Per 2
Hall takes bottom. He stands, peels out and gets the esc, 5-1. Hall gets the ankle and then gets behind, 7-1. Stephani to his feet and gets away, 7-2. Collar ties. Hall in on a head outside single, 9-2. Stephani with the esc, 9-3. Hall with a duck under for the TD, 11-3. End.

Per 3
Stephani takes bottom. Hall with an optional start and Stephani gets the esc, 11-4. Hall shoots, a bit of a scramble, and Hall gets the TD, 13-4. Stephani with the esc, 13-5. Hall with a counter TD 15-5, then Stephani with a quick esc, 15-6. Hall with a TD then cuts Stephani, 17-7. Hall with another TD, 19-7. With 3:06 in RT, it's a 20-7 major

197: Nickel vs. Drew Phipps

Per 1
Bo drives in and gets behind for the TD, 2-0. Bo working on the side, but not getting any tilts. Phipps up and gets the esc, 2-1. Bo with a TD that I wouldn't know how to describe, 4-1. Bo working on the right side, again. Starting to tilt him, nearly got in trouble, nothing. End. 1:44 in RT for Bo

Per 2
Bo takes bottom. Bo to his feet, turns, and gets the esc, 5-1. Phipps tries to shoot, nothing. Phipps tries a double, Bo sprawls, nothing. Bo gets a TD, 7-1, has the left-arm trapped, and trying to tilt. Can't seem to get the tilt. Stalemate. End. RT @ 2:22 for Bo

Per 3
Phipps takes bottom. Bo with an optional start, so Phipps with the esc, 7-2. Bo in on a single, to a double and gets the TD, 9-2. Looked for a cradle, nothing, and Phipps with the esc, 9-3. Quick TD for Bo, 11-3. Bo cuts him, and shoots but they go OOB, 11-4. Another scramble but Bo with the TD, 13-4. Cuts him, 13-5, and then a quick TD, and quick cut, 15-6. With 3:09 in RT, it's a 16-6 final

36-3, PSU
