I'm setting this up in advance.

Time:
7 pm EST

TV:
this will be carried on the Big Ten Network (BTN), for those that have that as part of their cable or DISH package

Video:
if you subscribe to BTN via your cable company, but are not near a TV, you can watch streamed video on BTN2GO, at:

https://www.btn2go.com/game/minnesota-at-penn-st-on-01262018

Audio:
Byers' radio PBP will be streamed, with the pre-match portion starting at 6:40 pm EST:

http://www.gopsusports.com/collegesportslive/?media=565456

Live Scoring:
If you can't access BTN, BTN2GO, or the audio stream, you can follow the scoring on TrackWrestling at:

http://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/se...twSessionId=hbtilyeudtwyulp&loadBalanced=true

I should be able to do PBP (90% sure of that).

I haven't communicated with Tim, but I believe he'll be at Rec Hall, and hopefully he will pipe in with observations, etc. from press row

Please use this thread to post comments about the matches, about the team's performance in the dual, about the TV or Radio commentary, etc. If you are replying to another comment, please use the Quote function.

We Are ....

- expecting the Gophers to have about as much success as the Vikings did when they visited the Keystone State earlier this week
- curious to see who takes the mat for PSU at 125 and at 197
- sorry to have to root against a PA wrestler, Lizak
- still celebrating what Willie said about Minny fan, Jammenz, a year ago
- wishing we were going to be at the dual

... Penn State!

Thank you Tom.

I really hope we get to see Kuhn tonight. Lizak would be a great test to see where he is.

...and if he pulls out a shocking upset against our friend in NJ, he gets free beer for life in Happy Valley :)

Yep I'm up here in press row. Whiteout starting to fill up a little bit and definitely a good Friday night energy in here. No word on 125 yet

Thanks, Eerie. WrestleStat has him at 133, though his matches this year have been pretty evenly split between 125 and 133.

Hmm, I guess I have to edit my prediction to include him.

Kuhn doesn't have that much time left to get on the mat. He needs to get matches in before B1Gs and here we are, almost into February.

Are you guys ever gonna use those for more than just st a dual or 2? Like a few years ago when your guys made the finals

Love how Nolf just gives Short both of his legs for bait.. surprised he couldn't get a turn on that cradle

157: #1 Jason Nolf vs. #18 Jake Short

Per 1
Nolf reaches for a single, blocked. In on another single, Short with a whizzer, nearly gets it but they go OOB with 2:02 left. Nolf in on a single, working it, and gets the TD, 2-0. Tries to turn him but loses him for the esc, 2-1. Nolf in on a low single, elevates, and gets the TD at the edge, 4-1. Throws in a boot. Short doing nothing. Stalemate at 24 sec left. Optional start for the esc, 4-2. Nolf in quickly but a stalemate at 10 sec. End. RT at 48 sec. for Nolf. My bad, I must have missed a TD, as it's 6-2

Per 2
Short takes bottom, Nolf with an optional start gives up the esc, 6-3. Nolf in on a double, switches to a single, they scramble and Short does a nice job, and a stalemate at 1:03. Caution on Nolf for jumping the whistle on the restart. Nolf in quickly on a low single and gets the TD, 8-3. He quickly cuts him, 8-4. Nolf in on another low single and gets the TD, 10-4. End. RT at 1:23 for Nolf

Per 3
Nolf takes bottom. up to his base, and out in 5 sec, 11-4. Then in on a low single, they scramble, but Nolf gets the TD, 13-4. Nolf locking up a cradle, he has it, but he's having a tough time getting Short over. (I missed a stall warning and a stall point, so it's 14-4). Another stall point, 15-4. Stalemate at 15 sec. Another stall point, 16-4. Optional start and an esc, 16-5. Nolf with a TD to the back but the buzzer sounds. 18-5, and with 2:47 in RT, it's a 19-5 major. No NF at the buzzer (didn't look like he should have gotten them) keeps it from being a TF

4-0, PSU

165: #1 Joseph vs. #7 Nick Wanzek

Per 1
Wanzek reaches, blocked. Joseph with a throw-by, nothing. Joseph shoots a double but nothing. Joseph with a high crotch, nothing. Wanzek shoots a single, Joseph sprawls, nothing. Joseph with double overhook, but he releases. 1 min left. Joseph working the head. Wanzek reaches for a single, blocked. Joseph reaches for a double, nothing. Wanzek reaches for a single, Joseph tries to counter, nothing. Joseph in on a low single and gets a TD with 10 sec., 2-0. End. RT at 10 sec for Joseph

Per 2
Joseph takes bottom. Up quickly to his feet, taken back down, up again and out in 14 sec, 3-0. Joseph nearly gets a single, nothing. Then Wanzek shoots a single, Joseph with a whizzer, nothing. Joseph shoots a double at the edge but they go OOB with 38 sec left. End RT at 6 sec for Wanzek

Per 3
Wanzek takes bottom. Wanzek works up, driven back down. Wanzek to his feet, and peels out at 25 sec, 3-1. Wanzek shoots for a single, nothing. Shoots again and Joseph nearly gets behind for a counter, nothing. 1 min left. Wanzek shoots, Joseph rries to counter, but they are OOB with 35 sec. Joseph with a stall warning for backing off the edge. Wanzek reaches, blocked. Joseph gets in on a double but they are OOB at the buzzer, End 3-1 decision for Joseph

7-0, PSU
