Zain with a double right off the whistle for the TD, 2-0, then OOB, against Mele of Lehigh. Mele tries to hit a roll and Zain stays with him. OOB with 2:28 left. An esc and a TD then OOB, makes it 4-1. Zain under the chin, turns and gets 2 NF, 6-1. Working the bow and arrow, and turns Mele, and gets 4 NF, 10-1. Mele with an esc, and a quick TD by Zain, 12-2. Zain cuts him with 8 sec, shoots, but they are OOB with 3 sec. End 12-3. 2:25 in RT for Zain
Mele takes bottom. Zain trying to turn him, finally does, and 4 NF before Mele rolls through, and then another turn and the pin at 4:21!!!!

Unfortunate for Cortez. Guy has been snake-bit with injuries. His initial response suggests it was more than a minor sprain.

2nd or 3rd time I've seen Jason kick an opponent free with :20 seconds or under in the period. At first I thought it was a mistake. I'm beginning to think he is doing it to challenge himself to get short time TDs.

And also happy to hear Fretwell commentating a match. Been awhile since I've heard him. Some people find him annoying but I think he brings great color commentary to a sport that needs it
