So, as many of you know, I'm an MSU guy. Watching your game with Iowa and reading posts on BWI and HR, I was struck by one thing in particular about their fanbase.

So, they have post after post about "Pedo U" and "Pedophile this" and Pedophile that". They say things like that to PSU fans at the game, their fans taunt the PSU players and coaches all night long with that stuff, but then have the absolute gall to start whining about a "shush" on the game winning TD and a "punt" on the last play?

What a bunch of country bumpkin crybabies! Probably the most hypocritical, hissy fit throwing fanbase in the B1G.

Here's hoping my Spartans can beat them this week! No respect for those corn cobs.

Nice win, PSU.

They were?
Have any players or coaches said anything about this?
If true, awful.

I mean, it's one thing for a few drunk idiot fans to tell PSU fans where the 'child molester' section is and such, but to incessantly harass players and coaches about such subject matter is lower than low.

Relating the message board poster living in mom's basement to the average fan doesn't carry a lot of water.

Listen to Saquon's post game interview.

No, it's not "one thing" for a few drunk idiot fans to tell PSU fans jack $hit and if you think so, then you are one of them. It's equally low, moron.

I find it amazing that all of these people continue to seem to be obsessed with the topic of child molestation? Why are all these people associating this heinous crime with people that did not, in fact, have anything to do with these crimes? Our fans didn't, our players didn't, our coaches didn't, our staff didn't, our athletic department didn't, NOBODY associated in 2017 with Penn State had anything to do with child molestation.

These people, to me, come off as hypocritical: There are sex offenders that live right down the block from them, I promise you, as there is a national website that tells everyone in this nation where your local sex offenders live. Are they picketing their houses? Are they trying to kick them out? Are they protesting? Are they calling their local politicians? Are they calling police? No, they are living their lives every day, among those same sex offenders, as all people do. These people need to look in the mirror before they yell these things toward us.

I just read an Iowa fan's defense of that behavior in another thread. The genius basically said, so what's the problem? Iowa fans behind the visitors' bench do that to everyone. You know damn well how disgusting your fans are and are just trying to blow smoke up the asses of those Penn State fans who weren't there to witness it firsthand. The game's over YOU LOST, just go away.

I guess it's like losing to Germany in a world cup match. ".......at lest we never had Hitler". It's quite childish and if Penn State continues to win, brace for it, 'cause its a acoming

Except that I have never heard "At least we didn't have Hitler" from anyone, and I follow soccer closely. Now, who knows, maybe back in 1955 that was happening, but I doubt it, because there was no "Germany", there was East Germany(CCCP west) and there was West Germany.

Yep. Basically they are upset they lost and clinging on to anything. It was allegedly "behavior issues" of Franklin and the players that they say upset them. When you ask specifically what did Franklin do to Iowa that upset them- they don't answer.

As for the players they get upset over McSorely punting the ball after the game was over (the horror) and the shush sign on the last play. Of course, those same Iowa fans weren't upset when their running back gave that same shush sign at Beaver Stadium last year or when they've done it in the past.

Brace for what? I stopped caring what opposing fan bases think of us years ago. In fact, the more we are now hated, the more I know the program is on the right track. No hate or indifference equals not a threat on the field.

First, great game Saturday...Penn St. earned the win. On the subject of fans every fan base have those idiots that make the majority of good fans look bad. I have heard almost unanimously from visiting fans that attend Kinnick that the Iowa fans were respectful and polite. Judging entire fan bases on a minority of fans would make every fan base look bad and I believe most people understand that. It looks like to me The 300 who had no dog in the fight is just trying to start some Sh**!

On what Franklin did to upset Iowa...I guess it was comments made last year after the game questioning Iowa's heart and effort in that game. I personally haven't seen the clip showing Franklin doing that. He (and Barkley) was very complimentary to Iowa after the game this year.

Amen. I still don't think they are as bad as Rutgers or Pitt fans, but they are trying their best. For a program that has done virtually nothing but be mediocre they sure think highly of themselves.

300 posts here sometimes, so I don't think he's a fly by troll. He's actually been pretty good over the years and has some ins at MSU. Probably just wondering at the hypocrisy of it all. As I said a couple days ago, my brother was there Saturday. Said 95% of fans were fine. Those that did throw Pedo comments his way did so from a crowd.

It was Barkley and he said the Iowa players gave up in last year's game.

I've seen teams this year get closer and tougher due to hate from away crowds: Penn State is one of them, Oklahoma is another. Penn State and Oklahoma, these two teams, this year, seem to be the teams that stand out to me as having that "it" factor. Again, it's early. Week 5, so we continue to play one at a time.

Indiana, Indiana, Indiana, Indiana, Indiana.

Do what to everyone? Call em pedophiles and child rapists?
Or just yell insults about mothers and girlfriends?

I actually don't know, I've never sat down there.
But if the former, that's beyond pathetic.
That's why I asked.
GUYS I'M AGREEING WITH YOU HERE.

I'll listen to those interviews, thanks.

I find it amazing that the B1G allows Iowa to place "Home Fans" in seats that are so close to the visitor's bench that they can touch Visiting Players if those player's have their backs to the fans....OR take Visiting Players' gear, such as their helmet if they leave it resting on the top of the bench "helmet rack holder" (which the announcers said has happened in the past and laughed about it - that is not even remotely funny behavior from Iowa fans, it is classless and criminal behavior that is not stood for in any other venue I know of including Beaver Stadium, the Pro's, etc.... You effectively enter the field of play - which is what this is doing - and then start taking players equipment!....you are getting arrested, fined and likely a lifetime ban from that venue for such behavior!).

Those seats should be required to be gated off and unusable - it is absurd - BEYOND ABSURD - that the B1G allows them to continue to seat fans in seats so close to the Visiting Team Bench that the fans can literally reach out and touch the Visition Players and Coaches using "The Provided Bench Area" with minimal effort. Just utterly absurd that Iowa is allowed to seat these piece-of-garbage fans like this relative to the "Visitior's Bench Area" (did you see the pictures on TV - the back of the Visitor Bench literally abuts the wall of the stadium!). Forget about their low-class behavior, there is no way in hell that fans should be that close to competitors in the area MARKED as their area on the field of competition and the fact that the B1G has let it go on when it could EASILY be rectified is RIDICULOUS.

In years' past, those were part of the visitors' allotment.

So, my guess is they were unsold tickets from the PSU allotment. LOL!

There is one obvious solution to this problem that would also be fitting for Iowa ...

Message board posters and a handful of idiots will throw the Ped jokes and Sandusky comments around. I heard more comments like that after the game walking around in Iowa City. Just told them they ALMOST won.. had to hurt to lose that game. Most Iowans were fantastic. Inside the stadium was electric. I would like to hear opposing fans tell their own group of idiots to shut up when they hear something like that tossed around. I expect PSU fans to police each other and I expect opposing fans to do the same. We can all be victim to the mob mentality at times and it makes it extremely dangerous for the individual or small group of opposing fans depending on what group of people they run into. AS for the game vs Sparty, I think Iowa's d will feel the result of their effort Saturday and Sparty has a good chance to take advantage of that.

So just watched a Barkley/Allen comments video...
Barkley really emphasizing how "fun" the trash talk was. Found that interesting, and probably coached to say that. Impressed with the composure.
Looks like Allen wanted to say more, but didn't.

And your guys 'shushing' Iowa fans on the way out? Ha! Any Iowa fan offended by that has special needs. Of course players are gonna rub it in.

It is beyond a "risky situation" to force visiting team's to be exposed to morons like this where the morons are able to make contact with the "Visiting Team's Bench" and players by doing nothing more than reaching their arm out over the stadium wall. It is not a joking matter in any way, shape or form, especially in regards to "player/team safety", which is why they have plexi-glass barriers in this exact situation at hockey rinks. There isn't a stadium in the country that would allow this and expose participants to such bull$hit and moron behavior - no way in f'ing hell should fans be even remotely this close to PARTICIPANTS simply sitting on their "TEAM BENCH" on the PLAYING SURFACE! No way, no how.....the B1G and Iowa allowing this and exposing Visiting Team's to the actions and behaviors of such fans is RIDICULOUS and the height of "UNSPORTSMANSHIP" at the INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL -- treating that ridiculous situation like it is "cute" or "funny" is typical B1G myopic, homer hor$eshit. It isn't "cute" or "funny" and is pure bull$hit and unsportsmanlike behavior being sponsored by IOWA UNIVERSITY towards visiting teams given that they control the situation, have set it up this way and have allowed it to persist. This absolutely falls under the "it's funny until someone losses an eye" category - who's responsible if one of these tools and idiots were to touch or throw something on a player/coach and the visiting player/coach responded in-kind and knocked the moronic idiot into the middle of next week?

That's a legal action against PSU to B1G officials, but it's a 15 yard penalty when PSU does it.

Didn't a PSU player get penalized for the "Shhhhh" thing to the lips several years ago? Why is it that Wadley was permitted to do it last year while PSU was pounding the ever loving snot out of Iowa - no flag.....but this year, in a situation where Juwan Johnson's TD Catch actually meant something and did silence the crowd, it is poor sportsmanship and he should have been penalized? Typical hypocrisy from the homer "traditional b1g" slack-jaw whiners and douche-bags.

I was at the game. Heard some comments in the parking lot where we tailgated. Actually was involved in a conversation with one 30ish guy who said he just couldn't stand the rape issue and his conversation indicated he was still laying the blame on today's team, that the sanctions weren't hard enough, that the entire university should shoulder the shame. I told him to let it go, that it's five years in the past and that the players and coaches of today had nothing to do with it. When he started denigrating JoePa, I basically told him that Joe Paterno was one of the people I have honored for the majority of my life span. I also told him that our conversation was ended. I handed him a Dogfish Head 90 IPA and walked away. He was just a stupid shit who wears blinders all the time. How can you reason with people like that? There was a guy two rows down from us who was yelling obscenities before the game so loudly and so rudely that two Iowa fans got out of their seats and told him to cool it. He then got even more pissed because apparently Penn State didn't make it out onto the field when the national anthem was being played. He didn't take off his cap but was saluting, so I guess he had served. His girlfriend looked like she wanted to climb into a hole. He eventually shut up but got into it again at the end when it looked like Iowa was going to win. Dumb shit. My advice to his poor girlfriend: Get outa Dodge before the guns go off.
