Thought on tOSU match

I have been going thru the matchups on Saturday and feel there are 2 scenario's where Penn State can win.
Scenario 1:
Assuming the rankings hold on matchups, Penn State is going to need 2 wrestlers to get pins. Retherford and someone else. Who would you think would be the other wrestler to nail a Buckeye?
Scenario 2:
Assuming Penn State only has one pin going into 197 and the match is close. Obviously we need an upset by our wrestler. If it is a tie match or we're losing by a couple points Rasheed will have to wrestle for a pin. However if we have a couple point lead going into the 197 match does Cael think Cessar has a better chance on winning a close match against Moore?

I think I was pretty close with scenero #2.
Believe or not I didn't see the Moore match. I had total hip replacement and had to go with nurse for post op care for a few minutes. How did the Cessar match play out?
I got back to see Nevills match.

Very impressed with Kuhn on his feet. He really gave NATO all he could handle in the first.

My questions are about the gassing. Do we attribute it to his first match back or the harsh weight cut? Or a combination of both?

If the former, he will certainly improve over the next month. If the latter, it might be difficult to overcome.

Dunk, if your note about the flu making the rounds in Columbus is correct, I’d guess Moore and Snyder are good candidates to have been carrying it. Both looked totally spent at the end of their matches.

I wouldn't overlook it being an adrenaline dump either. Lots of emotions flowing, first time in Rec Hall, incredible first period, crowd going nuts, etc. Probably a combination of things. The Iowa match will tell us a lot.

You mean first BJC match, first time wrestling in front of 16,000 screaming nutty fans and his opponent is Spencer Lee so he will be calmer and running on less adrenaline?

If he's going to do anything at Big 10s and NCAA's, yes. Gotta get used to it and control his emotions. Will be a great test for him.
