If Heil didn't gas during rideouts, then please explain what he was doing in the tweet that Dunk posted above. You are suggesting that you "proved" Heil was gassing on Sunday?
We'll just have to disagree here.

The plan is to have Big XII at neutral (or at least off campus) sites. Tulsa I believe has 2 more years.Which brings up an interesting question for future Big 12s. Does the new Big 12 rotate their championship among all of the schools like the BIG does? If so, one of these years it will be at Wyoming.
Dean definitely gassed. He could barely get up off the mat at the end of the match. But that is on him. Meredith was on the same mat. Dean has wrestled in Wyoming before, so the altitude was no surprise. Was actually lower altitude than a true Wyoming home match, as stated above. You are suggesting that you "proved" Heil was gassing on Sunday?

BTW all you easterners, let me tell you something important Yes Laramie is 7200 ft up but the match was in Cheyenne which is barely 5000 ft. Just thought you all should know. Trust me I lived in Laramie for 25 years and 72000 ft is different than 5000 ft - which of course is still different than sea levelDean definitely gassed. Betcha a dollar than you won't hear Dean use it as an excuse.
I agree, 72000 ft is different than 5000 ft . You made that one a little too easy...BTW all you easterners, let me tell you something important Yes Laramie is 7200 ft up but the match was in Cheyenne which is barely 5000 ft. in the morning its best if us old guys keep it simpleI agree, 72000 ft is different than 5000 ft . You made that one a little too easy...

Too serious?? Since you quoted my post, just pointing out that the extra "0" is what my light-hearted FUN was about .I believe the point to be made here is that the effect on the human body at elevation is not linear. In other words the difference between 5000 and 7200 probably feels just as bad than the effect felt going from sea level to 5000 feet.
Sorry, obviously I meant to quote the previous post.Too serious?? Since you quoted my post, just pointing out that the extra "0" is what my light-hearted FUN was about .
Even at that, Cheyenne is over 60000 if Laramie is 72000.I agree, 72000 ft is different than 5000 ft . You made that one a little too easy...
I don't believe it is linear either. Personally, about 5000 is where you start noticing a difference coming from 1000, 6000 is much worse, and 7000 is a killer. Two days to get my air back driving into Keystone or Vail. But then I am old and out of shape.I believe the point to be made here is that the effect on the human body at elevation is not linear. He is no longer the favorite at 141. Period. I'd bet a large sum on Yianni to take him out. Others I'd take also. His fragile rein is over.
Yeah, but what elevation are they wrestling at in Italy? Why is he no longer the favorite? He's still the 2-time defending champion, he's beaten Meredith 4 times before, and he's 55-1 in his last 56 matches. I get that he lost a close match (finally), but I don't see how he isn't the favorite still. If he loses to Meredith at Big 12s or Kevin Jack in Italy, then I think you will have a point. It's far too early to declare him done for a 3-peat.
It was probably a thumb placement issue.I agree, 72000 ft is different than 5000 ft . You made that one a little too easy...
Yeah, but what elevation are they wrestling at in Italy?
I agree he should still be considered the favorite over Meredith and Jack, not so sure if I would favor him over Yanni.
The next best thing is we won’t see any tweets from his coach using it as an excuse either. If there’s a dude who believes you need to “Cowboy Up” when it comes to adversity, it’s Coach SmithDean definitely gassed. He could barely get up off the mat at the end of the match. If NCAA seeding were done today, it would be 1 Yianni, 2 Meredith, 3 Heil. Why is he no longer the favorite? If Yianni gets past Eierman on 12/29, then his schedule screams undefeated #1 seed. So he's probably the favorite as of today.
Plus Heil could get McKenna in the quarters.
