Said then he was fine and would coach last year's bowl game.

In the half interview, there seems to be an out of character speech pattern for Coach Beamer. Seems slower, not as bold. Makes you wonder if he has health issues, doesn't it GregInPitt?

Actually, Tulsa's defense is one of the worst in the country (all year, not just tonight) which is why Beamer chose to go to the Independence Bowl to play them rather than go to the Military Bowl to get his butt kicked by Navy. And yes, Beamer did have a choice.

AFAIK he's all right. Frank is starting to put the years on now, he'll be 70 next fall. He's slowed down a little, which is why he was smart enough to call it a career.

Tulsa's defense is simply putrid - they are equally inept against both the pass and run. VoTech's isn't that much better and way too reliant on the blitz.
