Actually. I'd bet on Pfarr in a rematch. That one scramble changed that match.

I am just more impressed with Moore's skill set. He still wrestles with the mental focus of a freshman, but that skill set is impressive.

4/4 in the third place matches was a good indicator. Winning important matches is a good habit to get into.
I'm especially proud of Cutch. Hung in there in a tight one.

Extremely impressive run that was lost in the shadow of the finals.

Just to ad to the OP's list, PSU won't have 6 byes in the first round and Pletcher won't get forfeit points right out if the gate. The Buckeyes wrestled really well but that also had a lot go their way. If Suriano can just low AA, I don't think anyone can touch PSU at nationals.

Agree, Moore is a monster. I don't care about the previous matchups, he looked flat out better than Pfarr yesterday IMHO. It looks like he can get to a leg whenever he chooses. Honestly wont surprise me if he beats Cox at nationals.

I will be shocked if he beats Cox at nationals. Cox is as good as he wants to be and quicker,stronger, and more seasoned than Moore. Huge difference in the athletic gifts of Pfarr vs those of Cox.

Also, Cox only loses when he throws dudes through tables, so yeah, I like Cox.

I'm optimistic regarding NCAAs due to what we showed at 97 and 65. Relative to last year, nobody's really expecting a lot of points out of 41. 25 is still a wildcard. Were going to lose Jordan's points at 33. 41 is a wash. 49 is the Z-train again. We likely pick up points at 57. We pick up points at 65. 74 is probably a wash. We pick up points at 84. Probably lose some points at 97. And we pick up points at HWT. We likely have 7 AAs without Nick @ 25 - 8 with him. We could reach last year's scoring levels without Nick imho, but everybody would have to wrestle at or above seed -- however, you have to like the bonus production this team showed at B1Gs even at weights outside of 49, 57 and 84 (there appears to be decent potential for bonus points at 65, 74 and HWT - and of course 25 which again is still a bit of a wild-card at this point).

I wouldn't say PSU had an average week. All guys held or bettered their seed except Bo and Jimmy, and Bo by only one placement. So the team as a whole wrestled extremely well. Hard to overcome essentially no points from 125-141.
