If you're playing a b1g or sec schedule, yours absolutely right - a bad loss is way more relevant than your best wins especially when those wins are against other top Conference teams with bad losses.... and the highest ranked team has beat absolutely nobody from a ranking standpoint.
It’s a silly discussion. If the good teams in a given league just beat the mediocre teams then you would have a few 1 or no loss teams like the Big 10 did this year. It also produces a gap to the mediocre teams which the SEC says makes them “nobody”
Instead, the vaunted SEC’s best failed to beat some teams they should. That gives the mediocre teams an extra win or two which the SEC says makes them better. Comical.
Instead, a look at Georgia in its losses and a couple of wins…they were hideous to watch. That’s weird because Smart wanted to use Eye Test for a team that wasn’t exactly pretty.
It’s this ACTUAL discussion that demands league champions are automatically included. It’s a must. There is only one way to prove eye test and talking heads right or wrong: play a game. Each league has their own method to chose a champion and send them to a championship tournament. After that, you’ll just have to live with the silly discussion.
