The reason I hold out hope that Ferrari does not get an Oly red shirt is that it has to be approved by the NCAA. From the relevant rule regarding five-year rule waivers:

"The Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement, or a committee designated by it, shall have the authority to waive this provision by a two-thirds majority of its members present and voting to permit student-athletes to participate in:"

It then lists a variety of competitions and training, including for the Olympics.

You can't just Michael Scott it and declare an ORS...

Tell us a little about yourself.

Update: I'm 60 now, and moved to Lexington, VA this summer, while continuing to work out of DC 2-3 days a week and from home. Live in an updated place built in 1884, where I'll probably eventually die from a fall due to the floors being a little caddy-wumpus. We have a carriage house with a finished suite upstairs if you're ever looking to visit the town. Kids are now "officially" out of the house, with jr. working on his aerospace Ph.D. at UVA in hypersonics and my daughter working at Home Depot corporate and dating a fine young man in Georgia.

Let me just say that it's shocking how much friendlier people are than in DC, and how much easier it is to "eat local" (even though I don't obsess about that sort of thing). Mrs. A and I are loving the ability to ride our bikes (visit Goshen pass if you have the chance) and hike (BRP/AT) in the mountains, catch a lecture at W&L or VMI, or just chew the fat with neighbors over the town history. (Funny story -- our neighbor, two doors down, turned out to be a woman my father taught in Camp Hill high school in 1962.) Better yet, I love the fact that if I walk outside and smell a skunk, it is actually a skunk that I smell. When I sit on my back porch in the evening, I have become, in the words of Dan Tyminski, a slow sun sinking, good time thinking, whiskey drinking man.

Really looking forward to the idea that, this winter, I can walk 5-10 minutes from my house to VMI to catch some D1 wrestling.
The Shenandoah Valley is a great place for retirement and cycling. I've done several Bike Virginia tours down there (many years ago). Lived in Winchester for a couple years.

Rumor: Home duals to be held at BJC beginning 2025-26

A bit of scuttlebutt out of State College from this morning: [This source is occasionally wack-a-doodle, but, he does linger around a lot of administrators]
“People are going to be up in arms over Kraft's decision to move wrestling from Rec Hall to the BJC for every match beginning next season. Because they can sell more tickets. He also will mandate a Step program to get and retain season wrestling tickets. Everyone has to be in the Nittany Lion Club. No donation to the NLC, and you lose your tickets. Kraft said there are 7,000 people waiting for season tickets so he is unconcerned about backlash from longtime season ticket holders who are giving nothing back to PSU currently. “
So what he's saying is, in order to BUY season tickets you MUST DONATE to the nlc. Nothing like corporate America telling you, if you want my product you must donate to my WORKERS first. LMFAO get the hell out of here **** him and the horse he rode in on!

They already have BJC on lock down you can't walk outside to get a breath of fresh air which is crazy because the check in is 30 to 40 yards away from the front doors. I'm not playing their, you have to do as I say shit. You'll never catch me any where near that building again if this is the case!

If I read that wrong sorry for the rant. If I'm right well, like I said in a post not to long ago, hiw greedy are we?! SEEESHH

Do we go to #2?

Still waiting for anyone to tell me what the Texa$ signature win was. And Georgia calls beating Texa$ a signature win? So far this year there were only two signature wins at all, and that was Northern Illinois at Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt over Alabama. Everything else depends on the rankings in December, not today.
Lol at UGa not having of signature wins over Texas and Clemson. Or Oregon Ober Ohio State. You're argument Texas lacks one is great until you reach with this nonsense

Stock market update

I thought he had a valid point that inflation ate up much of the recent stock market returns but he kept beating that same dead horse to death.
Well inflation does eat up some of your market returns but he was way over the top about it like it ate all of it up. Market grows 20% but according to Eduardo inflation at 3-4% or even 8% means you have lost money. On a market day like today where it looks to be down 1% or more possibly he would be piping in saying we are on the brink of a second great depression.

Oh yeah, and everything was so politically charged and biased toward his party preference.
