Do we go to #2?

I'm a died in the wool rabid PS fan who doesn't think we are number two at this point. But yeah, we probably will be voted #2. I'll gladly take it and hope we can win the second half of the season. Shooting for 12-0.
Agree but it really doesn't matter. If we win out we'll get a first-round bye. If we lose to tOSU only, we'll get a good home game against a lower-ranked team. The point is, we need to just keep winning. The rest will take care of itself.

What is interesting is that Alamama may not make the playoffs or Ole Miss. USC is toast. Washington is toast. Michigan is toast.

It is a new day and the door is wide open for PSU. Can we walk it in?

Think we could beat Indiana?

Yes. They would beat us by two TDs. Seeing USC lose to Maryland and watching Illinois almost lose at home to Purdue, our resume is very weak. We don't look the part of a playoff team. Oregon, Ohio State and Indiana will represent the Big Ten in the playoff. I see us losing at Wisconsin, at Minnesota and getting blown out by Ohio State. If we had this year's offense with last year's defense we would have looked the part but our defense this year is suspect. 9-3 is our destiny.
Who exactly are you rating as Indiana's quality wins, Nebraska? I'm not a kool aid PSU fan, and I am also not a sky is falling PSU fan. USC , losing to Maryland, moved nothing for me. Traveling all that way, after an emotional loss and when all your playing for is practically gone, what did you expect from them? Wisconsin is an ok team and very well could beat us, but watching their gane against NW, everyone looked slow, I really think our speed will be the factor, especially when you add in the talent of the teams, look at USC and Alabama vs the Badgers. Minnesota is another one of those teams that could beat you and is capable. Again it's hard to gage a home win against USC and Michigan is not a great marker. OSU , to me is the only team that can out right beat us that we play. Everyone else in my opinion we should beat, unless we beat ourselves. Again just my honest take.

Ewers not very good

So he is Tom Brady immobile but not a great passer. What are his strengths? He just was missing receivers last night, and if he had to move around at all it got worse.

Btw see how Texas players get 300k lambos to drive?
GA pass rush was on him in a second and a half. His replacement didn't do any better. QBs get all the glory and all the blame. But they won't perform if you don't have a good OL. There is a reason why Brady went to Tampa as a free agent. He's no dummy.

Think we could beat Indiana?

What does the forced mass exodus and influx of personnel say about his ability to recognize and coach talent (and performance)?...and that of his predecessor's (own current defensive coordinator)?

It's probably smart to get rid of a lot of a roster that wasn't winning if they don't buy in to your new shtick. To bring in the amount of players he did from JMU, a similar number had to go. That's just common math.

Veiled shot at Allen not withstanding, let's see how this season plays out. I'm not arguing that he isn't a better HC, but I don't see how pissing on Allen illustrates that better other than he's our DC so let's take our shots when we can?

Do we go to #2?

Does he look like the best QB in college ball? Or even top five?

He forced two bad passes against USC to guys double covered. He has five long balls and every one was seriously under thrown. Like receivers having to come to a full stop.

If he was playing great they open it up more. We have had some close games where passing more would have helped. Maybe it’s the receivers. Maybe it’s the scheme. But he won’t be All American 1st or 2nd at this pace.
I don't agree at all.

PSU is a running team. And we've only been averaging 21 passes per game because we've only had like 8 drives per game. We aren't turning the ball over nor are we causing turnovers. Other teams are getting very good times of possession against us. Why would you NOT throw when you are completing 70% of your passes and not getting interceptions? That makes no sense.

The fact is, none of our games were ever really in doubt. And when we did have a game in doubt, we threw for almost 400 yards.
