That's what I said or at least tried to say. Army plays Navy so neither can go undefeated. I think if one goes undefeated they get in. The question is if they get in at 11-1 with a loss to ND.
- I think you only get one team from the AAC, CUSA, and MW.
I searched “arrogant, self-important asshole who bloviates on message boards” and this popped up. Gotta love the new technology. No one has asked the most important question ... how did you time travel back to the late 1950s, when families only had 1 TV?
Other questions ... why are the grandkids watching movies during dinner? Why wouldn't you be able to see that 23-30 was NOT the final score, when anything showing the score would also indicate the quarter and time left, letting you know, clearly, that this wasn't the final score? Why would you not look up what happened and why, before going to bed, if this game was that important to you that you're willing to sacrifice family time to watch it? How would you still not see the score in the morning before talking to your brother?
Tighten up the narrative to this silly made-up story.
Not sure who made their schedule.
I don't recall the D in previous times this play was run but USC was running man-to-man. The two WRs cut inside and both defenders went with them. I am pretty sure that Nick should have been covered but there was no OLB or S there from the TV shot. He had the entire side of the field open.I don't know that they are the exact same play, but the concept is identical for Nick. He chips and then drifts out. The play vs Illinois, Nick was the primary read. Vs USC, he was 2nd, 3rd, maybe even 4th.
I think we also had 2 WRs on the play side vs USC where as we had 1 or 0 vs Illinois.
Nevertheless, this was definitely not a trick play, even if USC was fooled. Probably a result of Warren having 17 receptions, they had to leave somebody open.
He hasn't been called on to do it. So far this year, PSU has won games running the ball. His attempts so far this year:Then Gronk and Edelman would have been out of jobs early in their careers. And Brady still would have been the QB he was. There's a difference between patterns and isolated outcomes.
I'm pointing out that Allar was already obviously the QB folks like you didn't think he was ... and you guys are completely willing to flip your opinions based on the results of isolated events that weren't even in his control. He isn't a disappointing QB who can't do this, that or the other if one play goes a different way ... and he hasn't suddenly grown up and become a great kid and player because someone happened to make a play. This is why successful folks in industries like this tune out the noise - it's so vapid and reactionary.
It may be enough of a question on his health / rehab to drop him into the 2nd round, which is a pretty big $ difference. Not sure but maybe a million / year. So it's a gamble. Sure would be nice to know more about the medical issue. Not necessarily. If he is really coveted then he may be able to satisfy ther desire to see he is healthy through private workouts and the combine. Not sure but you could be right they may want more game action post injury.
I agree with you, but it's ND and they matter when it comes to TV ratings and, if there is any benefit of the doubt, they're going to get it.They struggled with a very average, at best, Louisville team
The A&M win does look better now but even that was an ugly game. ND definitely could use a 10-2 A&M on the resume to help them
I just don't think ND is close to a lock. Losing to NIU is very problematic--especially as an Independent. At 10-2 I think they're 100% out.
Their current SOS is on par with us but our's goes way up the rest of the way--there's doesn't. Just going to be tough for them.
This is the tricky part of the 12 team playoff--you need big wins but can't lose too many games
I’m liking this theory. High grade partial ligament tear of some sortSounds to me like a partially torn ACL. No surgery required and it's something you can play with, but not without risk. Just a thought. I have ZERO inside info.
In a way, I do too. However, an 11:00 a.m. start there may help to take the crowd out of it. Also, Fox already has done a Big Noon game at Wisconsin this season, so maybe that will play a role in the decision.I assume Fox's Big Noon Kickoff only does B10 and B12 games. Based on that, are these the viable options?
Really hoping PSU avoids the 11am start in Wisconsin given our slow-a$$ starts.
- PSU at Wiscy
- Neb at OSU
- BYU at UCF
- Wash at Indy
- Mich State at Mich
Agreed. Then Gronk and Edelman would have been out of jobs early in their careers. And Brady still would have been the QB he was. There's a difference between patterns and isolated outcomes.

Yeah...brutal. It was a compound fracture meaning the bone went through the skin. They had to do surgery in Dallas to stabilize the leg and stop the bleeding. I always wonder what they will do now. Will they fly him back to Detroit for the later surgery and rehab? I am assuming more surgery will be needed but maybe they just did it in Dallas. Although I would think he and Detroit would want their own surgeons.I'm not watching. Had the game on but missed the incident by a split second. Did catch a close up of his face on replay. Brutal. I think he heard it snap. He knew exactly what happened the instant it happened.
