Looking at the races which mysteriously haven't been called by the AP over a week after the election, it is clear they think they can still grab 1-2 of them. It seems California's 45th District Seat held by Rep. Michelle Steel (no pun intended) is the top candidate. Steel has been leading this entire time but now only has a lead of a few hundred.

What are the odds that California won't pull another 2020 and *find* just enough uncounted votes to push the Democrat over the finish line?

Sorry in advance for rambling. The CFB playoff needs to be tweaked, or conference championship games need to end.

The way the current playoff is set up, it is highly conceivable that a team who didn’t play in a conference championship game ends up better off than a conference championship loser. Better seeding, hosting a home playoff game, etc.

The only way his doesn’t happen is if the conference championship losers are given the 5 and 6 (and maybe 7) seed, no matter their record.

So you could easily have a team from the SEC or BIG that loses its conference championship game seeded higher than other conference teams, even with 1 more loss than those other teams. I guess I’m ok with that.

Or, you expand the field to 16 teams, with no playoff byes and all conference champs getting the highest seeds. That might help the situation.

But what really needs to happen is for the conference championship games to go away. I know it won’t happen, but it is fun to think about.

The Webb scope will be 100 times stronger than the Hubble. Think how amazing the Hubble is and then try to imagine what the Webb will discover.

The launch date is flexible and can be launched on any day unlike many launches with narrow windows. Then after launch it will take a month to be positioned 1.2 million miles from earth to the second Lagrange point where it will be in a stationary position. Then it it will be several more months before it is fully activated. So next spring we will be re-writing all of our science books!

Franklin is a perfect contrast to Cael. Both are excellent recruiters. Cael, obviously, is the pinnacle of coaching excellence. Franklin is a very good coach but is always out coached in the big games. Recruiting only gets you so far.

All games at halftime: Texas blowing out Florida. Ohio State toying with Purdue. Rutgers up by 5 over Minnesota. West Virginia beating Cincinnati by 10. Georgia Tech surprising Miami, leading 14-10.

I was watching the Texas game but have switched to Miami.

Rooting for West Virginia to hold on in the 2nd half against a decent Cincinnati team.

Miami may need some help from the ACC refs again at this rate.

These are 3 underrated sleepers IMO that all can be special and have very impressive film. In no order:

1. Yvan Kemajou

2. Lavar Arrington Jr

3. Josh Johnson

Kemajou:

When I watched Kemajous film it was his Junior highlights. His highlights were impressive showing a nice combination of strength, quick burst off the ball and closing speed. However, he now has Senior film out and wow is this kid an animal. He projects as a 3 tech DT but his passing rushing ability is very impressive.

There is phrase used scouting Edge guys called "Speed to Power" which is self explanatory. They start with a quick initial burst, the first few steps is "speed." Then they transform their speed into power. This is what Kemajou does at a high level. And not only does he have great speed to power but he also a good bend. He has a thick build and plays VERY physical. His thick build and top level combination of strength and speed reminds me of Jared Verse. If he can keep his weight down I'd love to see him as a DE.

His combination of explosive power and speed you'll see on the very first play.

Also Watch his pass rush at the 4:00. Notice the bend. This is what an elite pass rush looks like even though he didn't use his hands.
