Why Leftist Ideologies Always Fail

My goodness. I feel like an oracle. Just said this the other day.

It really does.

The left does indeed hate "competition". Given their lack of understanding of human nature, they think "cooperation" is the answer. Unfortunately, cooperation ain't all it's cracked up to be. Shit, even Bernie Sanders was asked to leave a co-op for not pulling his fair share. There will always be a "slacker" and there will always be someone who notices him. THAT'S human nature.

Of course, there is a case for aid and assistance for those that cannot compete in society.

I certainly agree that the difference between a liberal and a conservative is the fundamental understanding of human nature.

The difference between liberalism and conservatism is thus based on a fundamentally different belief about human nature. Liberals want power so that they can create an earthly paradise. They believe they can now control all environmental factors, including the climate. Conservatives believe in freedom, but a freedom that has boundaries based on eternal principles of right and wrong. Humans can be, must be, incentivized and disciplined towards virtuous conduct, and thus to use their freedom for good, not evil. Family and religion best do this, not government.

Congressman calls out FBI, says 'Twitter Files only tell part of the story'

Good point, we are probably only hearing half of it. The vileness of today's left knows no boundary.

“The FBI sought to silence constitutionally protected speech & access internal Twitter data to further their spying & censorship regime,” the North Carolina Republican posted Thursday, along with a video clip from a recent House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing. “The Twitter Files only tell part of the story. How much did the FBI pressure other social media platforms, ones w/ even more users & influence?”

The Twitter files refer to thousands of internal Twitter documents exposed by CEO Elon Musk and journalists Matt Taibbi, Bari Weiss and others that expose how the company handled numerous issues. This includes its moderation process for a New York Post article on the Hunter Biden laptop controversy; shadow banning; Donald Trump’s suspension from the platform; and FBI communications with the company’s Trust and Safety Team.

The video posted by Bishop on Thursday featured testimony from George Washington University professor Jonathan Turley, a nationally recognized constitutional law scholar.

“The question that gets at me is this,” Bishop says in the 1 minute, 52-second video clip of the committee hearing. “How could the FBI, which is sworn to protect the Constitution, ever justify using intense application of its resources, agents, etcetera, to urge social media platforms to use those standards to take down speech the Constitution protects?”

Young Guns half way grade

To start, it's unfair and inappropriate to use Bo and Nolf as benchmarks. At this level any young wrestler who can compete for an AA is a success, and whets the appetite for the future.

Beau - He is noticeably stronger and a bit more aggressive. Some takedowns and his reattacks look almost as quick as RBYs. The only thing between him and a high AA is his level of confidence, a far too conservative gameplan, and a noticeable lack of aggression versus top competition. He is far and away the veteran of the group, so we can assume his development from here forward on a slight lower trajectory than the rest, which affects his grade slightly. I am pleased with where he is at. B+

SVN
- Admittedly, pre-season 'my' expectations for him given his petigre and small sample size last year, was the highest of the 4. It seems his results so far are the lowest of the 4. An unfair comparison, but his development ramp is far less impressive than Levi. It looks like he will need another year to reveal how far Cael can take him in this program. Career AA is a slam dunk, which is outstanding, but National champion caliber is too early to tell. The gap vs top tier competition is more apparent than the other 4. I think he will get there next year, but this year an AA is not guaranteed. B

Levi
- Many of you had lofty expectations for Levi coming into the year. With Levi being the youngest of the 4 as a true freshman, my thoughts were much more measured, and expectations lower. In time the RS just had to come off given his rapid development. He is a legit National champion contender already, and continues to display progress nearly every time out. The sky is the limit with this kid. A+

Facundo
- Alex can roll with anyone. His elite defense will keep him in nearly any match. He is cat quick for his size and has an obvious feel for the craft that you can't teach. His neutral game displays strong skills when he chooses to pull the trigger, but overall inconsistent. His game planning is too conservative to beat the best at this weight class with any consistency. He needs more work from top and bottom. Overall I think he is on plan, and could be a really dominant hammer out of the gate next year. A

I'll take 4 grades like that anytime. These kids will certainly soften the blow of losing 2 national champs next year, and with the new blood coming in we should be in a strong position. With a little injury luck, or portal help at the lower weights we are the team to beat going forward with some margin, even with the lineup tOSU has built. Overall grade for the young guns as a collective at the half way point. A pretty solid A

Thoughts, agreement, disagreement?

Mid season coaches rankings out — someone is manipulating the rankings

Today the NCAA released the mid season coaches ranking and first RPI. https://www.ncaa.com/_flysystem/public-s3/files/D1MenRanking_020923.pdf

Some funny (not really) business. They should’ve been out yesterday but were delayed. I think we can tell why. Manipulated.
RBY is 3rd and Kerkvkliet is 4.

RBY is behind Fix which is dubious given his two prior victories but also behind Vito who has one loss.
Kerk is behind Cassioppi And Davison.
