Actually, he does. Despite the losses and probable confidence issues as the season wore on, he still managed to pull off an upset and with a little tweak to finish some matches, he would have a nicer record.

And yes...may have qualified.
I was being sarcastic. I actually see a better wrestler than one we saw a month ago. I'm proud of him...

Shak gets #7 ranked Brunner next and after he wins, he gets the winner of Warner-Davison. Best case scenario is Davison because that should immensely help his NCAA seeding avenging Davison, already avenging Warner and beating Brunner.

Is it confirmed, that if Nevilles was healthy enough, he cannot get an at large bid? I saw someone said it was possible, then Byers said on the radio broadcast he is done.

Meredith had three or four ways to win that match but, alas, did not
Yup. In particular, he was unable to secure a TD when in a good position at the end of the 2nd period. Then he was unable to get out for an extended time in the 3rd period, losing his considerable RT advantage. Then of course he gave up the winning TD late in the match. He wrestled okay and had his chances, but let it slip away.

My understanding is that DeSanto is on the autism spectrum. There are considerable variations between individuals who have some degree of autism. As the father of a fine young adult man with mild autism and mild retardation, I have had some experience and education concerning this condition.

I will say that individuals need to be held accountable for their actions (my son had difficulty with his temper when he was a teenager and was suspended from school twice), but I do tend to look at DeSanto with an extra degree of understanding (and even forgiving).
"DeSanto on the autism spectrum" is 100% message board rumor mongering and armchair psychology.

But if it gets repeated often enough, it becomes the truth whether real or not.

In any case, DeSanto's personality is a distraction. The story is RBY.

where did you see this?
I think Verkleeren has to wrestle Yaya Thomas again (whom he lost to earlier). If he wins that, he goes to the 9th/10th match, which would automatically qualify him. But if he loses to Thomas, the only way he goes to the Big Show is an at-large bid.

It was a rhetorical question. I have seen nothing that's publicly verified saying DeSanto is autistic. It's insulting to people with autism to call DeSanto autistic if he's not. If someone can provide me a link that DeSanto is autistic, I'll apologize. Regardless, the people calling DeSanto a pussy and bitch need to get a life.
+1 everything you said. Also, I recall hearing that DeSanto had said this is not the case.

It is acceptable to rip Desanto as he is literally the worst sport to ever step on a wrestling mat. Nothing he does shows good sportsmanship. From cartwheels to kimuras to fake injuries, everything he does on the mat shows his true character.
Life has taught me that hyperbole is rarely accurate.

RBY has DeSanto confused
I had this same thought. It's like RBY is in DeSanto's head. ADS seems to wrestle skittish against RBY now.

So I know wrestling starts at noon tomorrow but do we know when the actual finals matches begin?

The Russian coach who pulled out a gun on the mat a few years ago is relieved to know he's not the worst.

125 good solid effort. Gave it all. Warrior.
133 is nearing his peak
141 I thought he lost focus. Gotta get it back.
149 can't win if you don't shoot but still gave 100.
157 unfortunately we had 3 49 pounders and only one 57 pounder and he may never wrestle again. Hope we can find a true 57 for next year
165 really there are 2 guys here and that's all
174 same here.
184 wow he is nearly there.
197 solid improvement and 11 more days to peak.
285 I love all 3 guys. 1 hurt, the other ineligible and the other hurt also. The gods said no.

So a solid 7 man team heads to Minny and you never know, but let's win all our finals matches and put the seed of doubt in Iowa...kinda like the old Yankees...you got to beat us, AND the Aura and mystique.

I want to congratulate Rutgers for locking up 12th place before 9pm. Best thing they did as hosts of the tournament.

Their fans are the best, though. Despite getting stomped on the mat, the ones behind us were able to laugh at Penn State wrestlers continuously and celebrate tremendously when Aguilar barely beat Meredith in the match to determine ninth place at 125 and which was announced before the match to have no team impact for the tourney. But congrats, your three time California finalist was able to beat a walk-on who had one fourth place finish in PA by a point.

My apologies for possibly spreading what could be a rumor...name calling is bogus regardless! And as far as I’m concerned, if there’s even a chance that he has been diagnosed with something, it just adds to why it’s uncalled for...

My question is that...…..Since FLO announcers were constantly complaining about stalling not being called on RBY...….will they still rank Desanto above RBY because...…."we ignore results that don't agree with our wishes/predictions/opinions". Asking for a (Sane) friend :)
They found a way to not count a match RBY was winning 5-1 before it was stopped, right?

Dear Mr. Brooks,

Congratulations on your son's big win. I have not screamed at my tv that excited since Q beat Kilgore. Also please thank Aaron. I later interrupted my wife's viewing of Say Yes to the Dress and had her watch the replay of Aaron's and Venz match. She knows her Wrestling and was very impressed. So much so that she approved my ordering of season tickets for the 2020 -2021 season. She knows potential. Usually I do not get funding approval until after Session IV of the NCAAs.

Good luck tomorrow and at Minn.

Thank you and your son again,

One damn happy fan

I rewatched the RBY v AD match. I looked for level changes and a shot that touched the opponents leg or an upper body moves such as a pass by.. I saw 4 shots by RBY (one conveted) to 1 by AD in the first period. In the second period I saw 1 each. At that point AD had two total shots. That is when Pyles complained about no stalling calls against RBY. AD had ton of hard snaps and bull rushes and pushing but the rule book doesn't give points for that. In fact Pyles bitched about stalling three time which at the third one matched ADs total shots.

AD did have 3 or 4 shots in the third period but 3 came with 12 seconds or less.

I just thought a flo announcer would know what constituted stalling.

I did look look at the end of match hand shake and AD did extended his hand which is fine with me. He just lost a tough match which is expected. Very few losers give the car salesmans handshake.

Since I'm on Iowa, I sure as hell hope Mike Evans was impressed with that Brooks match.
