In 2019, Dean probably should have lost to Cash Wilcke in Round 2, he would follow up by upsetting Myles Martin 24 hours later basically. Hopefully we see something similar play out (albeit he's not pulling any upsets, he's the target)
Quite the memory! Good stuff

I got all 8 mats on one screen. It’s on espn+. In there go to espn3 and scroll over till you find the one with all 8 mats. It’s sweet. And Robles and Sparks doing a freaking fantastic job commenting on each match.
Agreed! I know people have mixed feelings about Robles, but I think he’s a great color commentator.

16 Hildebrandt vs 33 Ashton

Ashton almost gets first TD. I actually thought he did. Stalemate. 0-0. Ashton literally running away. You have to call that, right? DH shoots… nothing. Ashton all defense. No calls. 0-0 after one.

DH on bottom. To his feet and out in 3 secs. Ashton back to full defense. Finally called for it. DH shoots but stalemate. DH with some snap downs. Ashton finally engages. DH shoots… can’t finish. 1-0 after two.

Neutral start to 3rd. Ashton still backing up. I can’t believe no more calls. Ashton finds himself underneath and it’s a stalemate. Half shot by Ashton now who starts to engage again. DH with a slick upper body set up to a shot and a TD as they go OOB. 3-0 DH. Blood time. 0:34 to go. Wrapping Ashton’s head. Lots of movement from bottom by Ashton but DH sticks. IOB. More good movements and DH has to drop to ankle. Five counted. Ashton gets out. Time runs out. DH wins 3-1. Ashton should have taken bottom; DH wasn’t able to ride.
