Dean only beat Hoffman in SV in the dual. Both of these guys wrestle close matches, with Hoffman already winning 2 bouts in Detroit by SV. I expect a close, tough match.I think Dean is having a lucky tournament and I think Hoffman will be a really tough semi.
Thanks I'm a mental wreck and it hasn't even begun. Stick a fork in me I'm done. Alcohol.
Hoffman gave Max a helluva tough match in the dual this year, 5-3 SV.Yea, to draw Gavin “f-in” Hoffman in a semi after escaping two matches Max could have easily lost seems like another blessing for lil Deaner, right? Someone looking out for Dean. It pays to stay tight with the Lord
Gavin took Max to the brink in the dual. Max has to wrestle his best.Yea, to draw Gavin “f-in” Hoffman in a semi after escaping two matches Max could have easily lost seems like another blessing for lil Deaner, right? Someone looking out for Dean. It pays to stay tight with the Lord
ESPN3 Should have all the mats.Any replays of the morning session that anyone knows of?
It might have been @Flying_Tiger. Whoever it was nailed itI said that? You remember things I said better than my mom did.
Anyway, Marinelli's problem this year wasn't a punishing, straight-ahead style -- his problem was being unable to create offense against a guy (Amine) who deliberately kept his distance and engaged very little. Marinelli was an entirely different wrestler one round earlier against McCoy, who made the mistake of wrestling him.
Can't remember who said this, but it's absolutely true: Cael's top wrestlers every year are incredibly consistent. Consistency from match to match is the key to the NCAA Tournament -- survive and advance.
We'll see about Kennedy. And we've already seen that he can be beaten with dynamic offense and immediate transition from takedown to swipes, or at least that's what Levi did.
#7 in the Updated Team Scores thread.Where did I see the 3 to 4 scenarios on points. I can’t find it now.
Watch out for Alabama Football next year!!! They are hiding in the weedsFiFy
That many times? That's a solid week for me texting my wife, including dog pics.I’m normally attached to my phone so my girlfriend was very confused as to why I’ve texted back maybe 5-10 times the last two days haha
Watch out for what?
Wake me up tomorrow AM and let me know if you were right or wrong. I'm guessing you won't be around on this board to do so.
Today's the day. So far we're 6 for 6. Unless the bottom drops out on us tonight - which would defy history - this is ours for the taking.
I'm looking forward to revisiting a pre-tourney post by @El-Jefe that was right on the mark after the tourney finishes. He deserves a pat on the back for it in more ways than one.
I was thinking the same thing but was quite surprised when we got here. All of that stuff is actually very accessible right outside/around the arena. In fact, one of the nicest setups I've been to, including St. Louis.Next year I'll be there but all the boys didn't think Detroit was for them.
7 years of Harbaugh Concern Trolls apparently weren't enough.Told everyone last week watch out for Michigan and here they are
Also, if Michigan spikes their headgear, that is good, too.To Summarize for the football fans tonight:
- PSU wins are good
- Michigan losses are good
- Iowa losses are always welcome
- If ASU loses too, that’d be fine
This is not a surprise. Been saying this since the big tens. Let’s hope our studs win and keep us in it. The draw of kerk and Stevenson really hurt and we knew that. But look at lower bracket now. Ugh. Kerk may face parris. We need other schools to help us and upset Michigan wrestlers. The amount of things that have opened up for Michigan to have a shot at this is incredible.
I agree about the match-up with Suriano but, hey, gotta give credit to Glory. He went out there and beat Arujau when it counted.Bad news to me with Glory winning. Vito has the length to maybe stymie Suriano. I don't think Glory has anything for Suriano. Hope I'm wrong, but not what I wanted to see.
