2024 NCAA's - Match/discussion threads (merged)

Don't confuse 1 flamethrower who half the board has on ignore (and the other half has his past handle on ignore) for "you guys."

This isn't like Ironbird saying something idiotic on GIA and getting 27 likes.
Ironbird never gets that many likes, but fair lol

I know this was posted, but can;t find the largest margin of victory in the team race?
1986 Iowa = 73.75 pts.

Are you sure? I think the scores reflect the bonus points already assuming they both lose. So if you get 10 points for 3rd and 7 points for 5th but the 4th and 6th place points are already factored in because they're guaranteed to get at least that. The way I'm seeing it if they both win it only gets them an extra point each (assuming no bonus which seems unlikely at this point).
If Bernie takes 5th and Tyler takes 3rd, we’re at 154.5, absent bonus. One additional placement point each. Four champs is 170.5.

Largest margin of victory is more impressive than the points record. Just my opinion.

Any chance the narrative will be that Lovett lost to Kasak on purpose so he could avenge his loss to Parco?

I was combing through this data myself last night. Insane success rate. Also from 2023, Kerk DEC Hendrickson 4-2 in the semis before falling to Parris to make it 57-9 (86.4%), which I believe was the original number you quoted earlier in this thread.
Did I say I needed an editor? Make that several.

Some consolation that I was right in the first place ...

Will update the original.

So you don't have me on ignore after all. Not that anyone believed you.

Posters have said that Beau has 1 more year and plans to use it. Would assume Kasak takes RS since he has 1 and SVN/BB do not? No clue what happens the following year if Kasak cannot make 141

Based on comments Cael has made over the season I’ll be surprised if Kasak redshirts. I get the impression Tyler doesn’t want to sit, ever.

The way stalling has been called in this tournament demands to be addressed in next year's rule changes. At the very least, the rules either need to be followed consistently by the officials or need to be clarified/changed. Getting sick of seeing guys doing the work but getting dinged.
true... I think trying to get out of a hold, like when being pulled onto the mat via an ankle, that the motion of crawling ob to get out of that hold is the same as backing out... no? Never see it called... or seldomly
