2024 Olympics Wrestling (merged)

I feel for Spencer. I'm sure he's heartbroken, but this Brands mentality of throwing your silver away is so lame, IMO.

Brooks did the same and went on the clock. Standing in the center is not freestyle wrestling. This isn't Greco-Roman.
Why do some blame the ref as a go to?
I doubt Zain is.

Amouzad scored 7 non-shot clock points, and, if I recall correctly, only 2 while Zain was on the shot clock. I will be rooting for Amouzad to make the gold medal match.

Zain was out wrestled. It's as simple as that. 65kg is not his ideal weight.

He didn’t just stand in the center. He attacked, much more than Zain and he did so from the center with Zain near the boundary. You don’t have to like it but no ref would put Amouzad on the clock with how that match was wrestled

think Zain was respecting the underhooks too much and his opponent wasn't letting him to shoot to Zain's left

Kennedy Blades has so much length compared to everyone she's going to wrestle. Her toughest opponent has to be the scale.

Aliyev vs Musukaev has been pretty boring so far. They know eachother too well I guess.

Amouzad stayed planted in the center while Zain darted in and out. Kept breaking engagement and was always towards the boundary. No ref will ever put Amouzad on the clock in that situation.
This ^^^^^

Freestyle's version of stalling is much different than folkstyle. One of the reasons why RBY is trying to adjust his approach on his feet.

For sure. She is so tall. I wonder if she will be able to continue making 76kg as she fills out. Nowhere else to go weight wise but I would think she will continue filling out. She’s still so young

Let’s go Snyder!!! He says he gets better as the tournament continues. Hopefully he builds off his first match

What a beautiful attack from Muszukajev! When he goes it is lightning quick. What an incredible athlete
Did you see his AZE opponent grab Muszukajev's crotch and lose a penalty point? Muszukajev was livid! If my memory serves me correctly, I have seen a number of AZE wrestlers over the years seem to wrestle dirty and take their losses in an unsportsmanlike/childish manner.
