Football 2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Oh I don't agree with that at all
Tons of those guys won't be there after this year whether it's due to graduation, transferrring or declaring for the draft
He's put in work all year and is actually doing the right thing by staying
I don't see a single player having an issue with that.
Ofc u don’t Agree.

If Beau found out Allar wasn't going to the NFL next year and he entered the portal you wouldn't want him for the playoff? I don't believe that for a second.

People complain about guys leaving their teams and fulfilling the obligation to complete the season. Now someone is doing that and you're still complaining.

Why would a player who’s leaving stick around? Beyond strange.

Re: Tengwall's comment. Perhaps Day and Brown spoke, and Day actually encouraged Brown to go into the transfer portal and this is the mutually agreed upon 'divorce'.

Day may have decided that O$U was going to move in a different direction at QB and that the NIL $ allocated for Brown could be resources better spent in other areas?

This is just conjecture on my part. Who knows in this new age of college football.

Michigan just bought a QB. OSU and Oregon will be buying their QB's for next year. Miami, Notre Dame and others will likely be buying their next QB.

I see the "Bear' has both PSU and SMU on his potential visit list.

Now if those 2 teams were meeting in a playoff game, he could take advantage f being able to see both programs compete against each other.

I wonder if he's interested in attending.
He would have to buy his own tickets to be there as this game is not controlled by either school

I wonder how much NIL $ Alexander earned this year. Unlike when I attended PSU, many of these players have the resources to cover some of the expenses to attend the game on their own.

Coach Franklin didn't seem certain what type of 'hospitality' that we are capable of showing players who have decided that they are interested enough to pay to attend our4 playoff game.

Clarifications regarding what we are permitted to do as a host university of a CFPI sanctioned event regarding recruiting are most welcome.

This isn't TA's first transfer. Look at his past, he has done nothing but transfer. Some of these situations are so obvious when they sign as to the way they will end up.

IDL and WR are now portal positions for PSU.

I would speculate that Brown was retained for this year as an insurance policy in the event Howard got injured and in case the true freshman weren't ready.

I wouldn't be shocked if another is brought in and another transfers out. RS freshman (whichever one stays) who took little to no snaps this year is not a guaranteed success (albeit OSU is setup as much as anybody).

Duke's Maalik Murphy in the portal. Would expect him to get a ton of attention. Suck for Manny.

I thought he was the biggest issue with the Duke offense this year. He was not very accurate when I watched them (finished at 60% this year). I thought he would have been a much better running threat, but he finished with negative yards for the year.

That's fair--he was awful against Va Tech and....maybe UNC (trying to remember) but there's a lot of upside and potential there. Felt like he will continue to grow/develop. He looked pretty good against SMU--trying to remember when else I saw him play.

Will be interesting to see where he ends up--he's definitely raw.
