Football 2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Why would a player who’s leaving stick around? Beyond strange.
He is obviously a team player who does not want to leave his team high and dry if the starter gets hurt. At the same time he is looking out for his own interests by looking for a chance to start by entering the portal. It’s a different day and age, can’t blame kids for looking for a better opportunity.

Twitter link isn'tshowing. Here's Wisky offer article.

"Rashad Rich and Deion Barnes just traded follows with him. Blay led LA Tech’s defensive front with 46 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two quarterback hurries, led the team in sacks and TFLs and finished third in CUSA in sacks and tied for third in TFLs. And he is a defensive tackle at 6-4/302.

Blay is from Levittown, PA and played at West Chester University hist first two years in college. Has one year of eligibility remaining, already offered by Illinois, Arkansas, Wisconsin, MSU, MSUs, Houston, while also a lot of follows from Michigan and Oklahoma coaches."

Is he gonna play while in the transfer portal? Ha!

Why not? You're not making any sense
You're somehow convinced he's going to be giving info to other teams. He simply wants to a chance to play for a title (which he's earned) while making sure he has the opportunity to start somewhere next year
This is one of the worst criticisms I've seen--he's literally doing everything right.

Plus, apparently, it is "God's Plan."

If Beau found out Allar wasn't going to the NFL next year and he entered the portal you wouldn't want him for the playoff? I don't believe that for a second.

People complain about guys leaving their teams and fulfilling the obligation to complete the season. Now someone is doing that and you're still complaining.
I agree but I long for the days when committing to a school meant something. Like signing a contract.

Because he loves his current team mates and wants to help them win this season but also wants to start somewhere next season and if he has to leave to do that he reluctantly will. Pribula could be in a similar situation. Pribula seems like a great young man and has made some nice contributions to the program, but I hope he follows his heart to maximize his athletic career because it ends quickly for most college athletes. But for PSU, I'm still hoping Allar stays for 2025 regardless of what that causes Pribula to do. If PSU keeps Kotelnicki the offense should be pretty good going forward even if it's with the inexperienced Grunk leading it in 2025.

He’s on Ohio State…

I grew up in Levittown and attended Bristol Township schools like David Blay.
Not very many players from Harry S. Truman HS in D1 football.

Right and, as Dylan said, we need to lose 60--so at least 30 of those will be transfers to go along with graduation and early entry into the NFL draft. Most schools probably want 20-50 players to transfer--it's just do the right kids transfer or do you lose guys that matter.
Many of them will also be graduating and/or turning pro.

Devin Brown isn’t the back up QB at OSU.

Why? So, all those players leaving for the draft and graduation should jump ship?
I have no idea how it's "strange" to finish out the season
Again, if Beau did this I'm confident you'd be praising him for staying with the team
Leaving for the draft and using up your eligibility isn’t remotely the same as entering the transfer portal.

It is--you're leaving the program
You're all trying too hard to make this an issue
Again, if Beau entered the portal I'd want him to stay and most here think I hate him lol

He was very good for Tulane
Interesting he didn't wait for "bigger" offers
Wonder if they ran Murphy off now

I wouldn't dispute it if it were said.

The way the playoff is setup, he probably sees SMU in the playoff and got sold on "with this defense and YOU running our offense, we get in next year."

He followed Terry Smith and Franklin yesterday. Stribling is a big X-WR at 6-2/200 and he seems to be a legit deep threat.
Hard pass. 3-9 dog of a team in a conference that plays no defense.

We want PROVEN WINNERS WHO PLAY IN REAL CONFERENCES AGAINST ACTUAL DEFENSES...
