133 Consolation Quarters
Gulibon vs. Ryan Diehl (Maryland)

Gulibon defeated him during the regular season, 9-4

Per 1
Jimmy shoots, nothing. Diehl with double underhooks drives Jimmy off the mat, and Jimmy is hit with a stall warning. Diehl with a TD to his back, and gets the pin at 46 seconds. Shit

something not right with Jimmy. i think he has some type of mental block type competition thing. In both losses, he just didn't seem right. Seemed to almost 'freeze' at times and just not move.

Cory Clark defeats McKee (Minny), 7-1, to get to the finals

other teams are helping us out.....I hope we help ourselves soon.

We need Sorensen to knock off Jordan here. I have a feeling he doesn't. Zain needs to drop the hammer on Bannister.

Jimmy pinned. WT...
Ryan know he had to go for a Headlock on Jimmy and did !!!! It worked....That was his plan...Ryan used to be in my son's club...Renagade with Coach Chris Bentley. Ryan is very good at the head lock...That freakin sucks big time....

Jimmy may not have looked good but be reminded that Ryan Diehl is the only kid to beat Nolf in HS. He can literally beat anyone in the country on a given day. Anyone. When Jimmy dominated him earlier I was shocked.

A couple of things about Jimmy that I've never understood..

1. His complete inability to score from a front headlock position. He's there constantly and he always does this thing where he bucks up and down twice and then either just lets it go or gets a stalemate.

2. His defense. My god, his defense (or lack thereof). Jimmy lets people get in deep, but has none of the scramble savvy that you would expect based on who he's probably practicing with every day. Have you ever seen him successfully get a counter takedown after someone was in deep on him? I can't recall seeing it one time.

Now having said that, the kid is an All-American and an NCAA semi-finalist. He owns some pretty impressive victories in his career. And I'm currently sitting on my couch eating pizza as I type this.

Delvecchio got hit with a stall point against him with :3 left, then lost in OT. Rutgers asst. going crazy screaming at the ref, and I don't blame him. That call is never made there.
