Big 10 Seeds are out

Only 2 matches in round 1, will miss out on some bonus, not that it should matter.

So what's the thinking for 149? Top 3 all went 1-1 against each other.

Not complaining...just wondering if there's something deeper in the numbers that explain the decision.

Maybe they just went with where they are in the coaches rankings.

PSU guys got good draws at 149 & 157, not so much at 125 & 133. LL with a 4 seed facing Ramos in the semi's will a big contrast of styles. Top of the 133 bracket is loaded. To bad Fugitt's first name doesn't start with 'Ah' :p . Let Lovett and Parco figure it out at 149 in the bottom have. Kasak is hopefully back to 100%,tougher competition awaits at NCAAs. Messinbrink - next question. Haines - next question. Cstar waiting for his food to arrive in the semi's. I like Barr's quarter final with Bates but the Cardenas / Buchanan path is one of the toughest for any of our wrestlers. Steveson gets the 1 over DGK which I guess was expected especially with GS dominating the way he has been.

I would rather had Teemers draw at 157. Best 3 guys at the weight are Kasak, Teemer and Taylor and Teemer only sees one of them

I'm not picking against him, but, I think Kharcla will provide a solid test for Levi in the finals. I've been impressed with him this year.

I'm really looking forward to Luke vs. Ramos. It is an interesting matchup.

Braeden has been tough to predict this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing Gabe Arnold get what he says he wants. (Careful what you wish for)

As always, I expect us to be at our best, well 2nd best this year this weekend. The sky is the limit and the floor is pretty high as well.

I am not sure Gabe Arnold is going to make the semis.

Yes I believe so.

I get by with a little help from our friends........thanks to Luther Ace from the Iowa board. This is a clickable, interactive bracket.

I'd say you are right. Teemer isn't setting the world on fire this year and Kasak is just so solid. He did have a 7pter in the first period against Talyor that set the match. If he doesn't hit that move, I think he comes up with points somewhere else and the result doesn't change.

So the 4 seeds get the 13th seed first round correct?
Quick and easy way to know first round seed matchups. Sixteen man bracket the seeds add up to 17, 6 vs 11, 3 vs 14. Thirty two man bracket the seeds add up to 33, 8 man bracket seeds add up to 9 (pigtails don't work, have to go to first round without pigtails). Someone clued me in on that little trick after about 45 years of being involved in tournaments and seeding.

In Roar's B1G seeding thread, he mentioned that all the top 3 HTH had obviously beaten each other. So, looking at quality wins other than each other, Lovett had the weakest next best wins. I think both van Ness and Parco had beaten 2 guys seeded higher than Lovett's best other win. So, putting van Ness vs Parco, Van Ness had won by MD--thus, the nod goes to van Ness. I think that's pretty close to Roar's logic. I buy it.

Isn’t all of this based on how healthy psu is. If healthy good luck
