It's hard for me to tell. Several dropped balls and the O-line playing like @ss.
No...they're just not as good as we hoped. Or at least aren't yet.
like Katt said it was the unblocked defender that made the tackle.. the game plan sucks
Saquon didn't have an elite line and broke big runs. Same with Miles. They need to do more if they're as good as we claim
Illinois has 8 in the box every play and PSU continues to call the same runs over and over. Maddening to watch
Looks like Elsdon has found his niche on the team — punt coverage.
I can’t help but think Franklin game planned all week like this was a cupcake we were playing and told Yurcich to keep the playbook skinny. Illinois knows everything we’re doing.
Really need to throw on 1st down with UI playing the 1 safety D that's strong against the run. Then on 3rd and 4 or more do a great job of coverage. Have to come out throwing to someone that can catch it.......
The saving grace here is that our D is now thoroughly beating their O...plus their QB is not too good. Maybe 16 points will be enough. But not against the Ohio States and Michigans of the world.
Drew is certainly making things harder on himself and the offense than it has to be today. Just going first read almost every time and having some bad throws along the way.
