Realism. Illinois isn't even mediocre on offense. Unless Allar starts throwing picks or they block a kick we're fine.

I am questioning if the backs are elite as we thought. They haven't shown it through 2.5 games.
The tight O-formations are playing right into Illinois' strength at D-line - PSU is not matching up physically. The O game plan isn't working. Spread the field, hit some quick slants/outs, and open things (run) up. Imagine if this was a top 10 team instead of Illinois.
If WVU and ILL are at this point tough matchups for Nourzad, imagine Iowa, OSU, Mich etc. Agreed. Move him to G.
Okay that 3rd down run even though came up just short isn't acceptable by an elite D
They basically waived the white flag on 3rd and 22 and we flailed and fell down and almost let them have it!
An undisciplined, penalty-infested ball game does not make for good entertainment. 3rd and 22 and they almost made a first down.

Yeah, I do get that, but still...here we go again: D gets another pick, and O does nothing.
On the road, the last thing you want is a dogfight in the 4th quarter.
The good thing is the D appears to have settled in.

They haven't been. They've seen plenty of 7 man fronts today and this season. Even on the last 2nd and 1 Singleton easily should have got the first down if he puts his head down and goes forward but didn't.
I want to see the pocket moved and maybe a bit more throws to the running back and tight ends. Why make Allar a pocket statue with #4 on the field when he can throw on the run? Illinois has been doing the same stuff on D and we haven't adjusted.
