I can't seem to recall Dan Gable EVER acting like this.

To be fair, most number 1 wrestlers don't beat the snot out of number 2, 3 or 4 in a manner similar to what Messenbrink does.Okay maybe not a bum but definitely doesn't wrestle like a dominant number one ranked wrestler he hangs on. That better
Sorry man — to be clear, I was not trying to knock your post. Just having a fan flashback to the frustration of knowing what he didn’t in real time, while having every confidence he would have gotten what he needed in the closing seconds if only he knew he needed it. He was the better wrestler, which made that kind of loss a tough pill to swallow.
Fortunately, it does not appear it will
hold him back at all this season.
I don’t know if I’d rather see Angelo vs McEnelly or Plott. I’m leaning McEnelly since he’ll be back next year, but it would be funny to see Ferrari wrestle against OSUSeriously, though, if he follows the 184 logic and puts Angelo against Plott, that is going to be fun

Might have to check that out. Anyway, home from the match. Really not much can be said. If all that money they are spending in Iowa was intended to close the gap...I'm not seeing it all. In fact, I was thinking about calling Trump to have Elon and DOGE go there to clean house..I saw that. Seamus went full Defcon 5 on them. Johnstown would be proud
😂.
No other school is closing the gap, even if they outspend everyone else.Might have to check that out. Anyway, home from the match. Really not much can be said. Looks like Brands didnt want him to watch. That’s kind of funny.
Shows who's decision it was and it wasn't Gabe's at all.Looks like Brands didnt want him to watch. That’s kind of funny.
Dream scenario if you like chaos.I don’t know if I’d rather see Angelo vs McEnelly or Plott. I’m leaning McEnelly since he’ll be back next year, but it would be funny to see Ferrari wrestle against OSU
Natural big man with a lot of experience against a undersized freshman.Barr was out wrestled tonight pure and simple.
So what does that say for the coach who hung him out to dry?Shows who's decision it was and it wasn't Gabe's at all.
Coaches make tough decisions all the time. Life is unfair. So what does that say for the coach who hung him out to dry?
Pat Mineo just creamed his jeans. He’s going to go to town with that
Actually I agree with you. It only took 28 pages 😂Coaches make tough decisions all the time. Life is unfair.
[Edit: I had not read the earlier posts on this topic before I responded.] The poor start to that match is what cost MM. Only three seconds into the match he sloppily marched right into a blast double from Carr. Bigger than that, though, was Carr then rode him for 1:42, thus shortening the time MM had available to get to his offense. MM seemed a little too hyped and didn't wrestle to his ability. The mental error of not knowing he was trailing in the third was the final nail in the coffin. Had he known the score, he had a full minute to push the pace and either get a stall call or TD. Had MM wrestled to his ability, both physically and mentally I think he would have won. All that being said, the bottom line is Carr deserved that win.Absent him not knowing he was down a RT point as the last seconds ticked off the clock.
I haven’t gotten through all the posts, yet, so sorry if this has already been said .
. . But Kasak clenching a victorious fist in the air with one arm while holding a former #1 Hawkeye in the air with the other is going to be another spontaneous, iconic moment for this program.
Recruit on the big stage.
It’s What We Do!
Nasty cut! That one is going to take some stitches. Also, that was very smart of Tyler to not try to take Teemer to the mat. That was great situational awareness/mat intelligence by Tyler there, especially in such an emotionally frenzied atmosphere and huge moment.
I will talk shit about mn til the sun comes down, but McEnelly is the truth. Him and Ferrari will be fun in the future.I don’t know if I’d rather see Angelo vs McEnelly or Plott. I’m leaning McEnelly since he’ll be back next year, but it would be funny to see Ferrari wrestle against OSU
Did he mention anything about the murder that just took place?
Cael mentioned in the post press conference that it got stitches. Tikk's pic really shows how deep it was. Thanks Tikk.Nasty cut! That one is going to take some stitches.
Does Levi go up again??Need to shirt Ferrari and let it clear out.
No brainer.
Hell yeah! Glorious work, Tikk. 👍🏻👍🏻![]()
You're welcome
I'm assuming Gabe was either saying something or doing something and it was better that he was removed from the situation. I can't imagine that there is a reason in this world other than what I just typed why you wouldn't want the guy who is going to be wrestling in the post season, to not see an opponent live. Not only do you want him to see that opponent live, you get to watch someone who you train with every single day wrestle him. That would have been valuable information. Would love to hear Brands answer why Gabe was removed.Looks like Brands didnt want him to watch. That’s kind of funny.
Great. Gabe can thank coach for making him look like the biggest orange in college wrestling. Way to go coach!Shows who's decision it was and it wasn't Gabe's at all.
He is real tough and I think he handled the crowd booing well. The Ferrari's are very limber.Ferrari is a special talent.
Anybody who thinks Gabe ducked Carter is a moron.
Barr will beat Buchanan at NCAAs.
Just NOT the trophy that matters...No. Well spent cash. It probably gets them a trophy.
Hang it in the Louvre!! Great shot Tikk!!![]()
