Flynn was very good at getting the most out of his guys so had my doubts we would see a big jump in his performance although I didn't think he'd be worse.
Disappointed they didn't put Carr out there but I understand it.
Watching the Brands Brothers is like watching two little kids who want to go on the Moon Bounce at the carnival but aren't allowed to because they are too small for the admission.
I really enjoy the Brands brothers, actually. Probably the 2 best interviews in NCAA wrestling today, and certainly still great coaches. When they hang it up, wrestling will be worse off for it.
I can appreciate them at times and know that they give everything to the program. But they can also be so bloody annoying, over-the-top in hyperbole or histrionics, and attached to a very singular style of wrestling (which is essentially the way they both competed themselves and not something always something that works or translates well for other body types, personalities, or approaches).
