It's hilarious to watch the Pitters go through all the stages of grief after they were so SURE that Penn State football would be terrible for decades. Decades, I tell you!
They are now into acceptance: that Penn State will always be a football powerhouse, they won't ever reach that level again, but it just doesn't matter that much. Just a game. Most Pitt fans spend their Saturdays going to the opera or with their sketchpad in a meadow.

It's funny watching someone who spent the ENTIRE day on Penn State's board yesterday arguing for Pitt football has came back today and said "It's just a game.....We don't even care"
I guess his presence here is the most damning indictment of the Lair that is humanly possible. Even he won't go there.
There is nothing about PSU for a Pitt fan to be jealous of. I love football but it's just a game and I'll support my alma mater win or lose. The success or failure of the Pitt football program doesn't impact my life and it not a component of my self worth.
I see you are still part of the "football above all else" culture so prevalent at PSU.
It's entertaining. I admit I like Pitt football. What I find more entertaining is seeing how invested you are in PSU football.
You can realize that if the fanbase isn't invested, then your program will suck, and you will realize that a $4000 fundraising campaign is indeed ridiculous.

I would venture to guess well over half of those 8,000 views are members of pantherlair. Heck, 2,000 are probably Pitt is # 1 just pushing the refresh button!
"Invested in PSU football".....as a season ticket holder for 8 years now, you wouldn't understand. Pitt fans don't invest in their program, and it shows on Saturdays. When you pay as much as my wife and I do for season tickets, you bet you a$$ it's an investment.
Maybe you're just jaded because you can get a Pitt ticket for $5 with a free hot dog on any given Saturday. Or, Tuesday night, or Thursday night...whenever the hell it is that your team plays to their 5000 "fans."

It always cracks me up when the Pitt trolls use the "oh yeah, well our endowment is a lot bigger than yours" gem. You claim it is "much bigger". Please furnish the latest figures.

I've never seen figures showing pitt with a higher endowment than PSU. Maybe it won't all go to the endowment, but PSU completed a $2B+ fundraising campaign last year.
Just an FYI...Paco pointed out if you make the donation directly to Pitt athletics...then 100% goes to Pitt and no % goes to go fund me. In addition donations directly to Pitt athletics add to your point total. That is why that $ value has stalled. In addition, try a little lubricant as you are entertaining yourselves...it heightens the experience..lmao!

No, I'm sure the donations are not flooding into Pitt athletics....but I'm also sure the go fund me sight is stalled because any donor would be foolish to donate at the " go fund me " site.
I'll give the Pitt guys credit for trying something new. The old way sure wasn't working.
As an aside, I'm not surprised about the endowment numbers. The Pitt med school endowment is much much larger than Hershey's, and those numbers are counted.

Now when people actually pay to show up and watch an endowment grow in the bank or Harvard gets a nationally televised championship match with Texas to compete for the endowment playoff championship, this may actually matter in the relevance of discussion on a sports message board.
