I very much understand that he was referring to 125. Just struck me as a very uninformed thing to say. I'm fairly sure every wrestler competing, at 125 or any weight, would like to hold the number one ranking. What he say was just silly. Peace

To me, Amine was clearly referring to the #1 “curse” at 125 this year, where within a week of hitting the top, that guy has been taking an L.
I mean a bunch of people have already made this joke this year. Here, FLO, other B1G announcers, Willie, etc.
If you want to hit him for unoriginal, have at it, but uninformed is a very bad take.

Yeah, he was just trying to give Starocci the match and get off the mat as fast as he could. Starocci wanted the fall more.
