Lundy forcing a 3 with plenty of time left. Then Wisky scores on a cut to the basket. Our defense doubles all the time then gets beat by cutters.
Pickett fouls out. We've now lost back to back games to teams in the bottom half of the conference.
Good news for Wisconsin though. They scored 70 for the first time this year.

Lundys shot selection is poor at times...but the overall fundamentals on this team are terrible...we haven't gotten better. Kraft has some HUGE tasks ahead of him to elevate numerous programs that are absolutely mediocre
Oh well...Wisky deserves the W.
We just never were able to climb the mountain and gain control.
Jalen could've been better. Hard to win this game with our best not at his best. Missed a bunch of bunnies.
Defense was lacking (or Badgers were executing). Their timeouts seemed to be productive...
Surprise player of the game and goat of the game is the same guy: Cam W. Showed out a bit offensively but also lost it for us down the stretch:
- bad turnover on pass to Henn out of timeout
- missed jumper in lane late when Shrew chose to keep Jalen on the bench with 4 fouls under 2 minutes. Coach chose 11 over 22 w game on the line...bad call
- Cam was on d when 11 drove for the hoop late in the shot clock
- Wynter on d again for Wahl pass to Crowl for layup late
Funk was awful on D...his plus minus likely in red. Gave up the 3 to their three under 2 in OT.
Don't regret watching...but same od, same old. We Are...the hoops version of Indiana Football. We had our chances...didn't deserve it.

And let’s face it, we can’t beat Wisconsin for whatever reason. This has been going on for years.
Wisconsin coach got on his team when they got in foul trouble. Hands up, play defense with your feet. We don't seem to grasp that concept.
Lundy is a physical specimen with a good shot but he's undisciplined and can't get to the basket. Funk is a good shooter but somebody has to create for him. Pickett is great but he got frustrated and lost his composure tonight. That led to him fouling out.
Nebraska & Wisconsin players move without the ball. PSU players stand around the perimeter and watch Pickett.
I doubt there will be a 6 year plan this time. Shrews will probably end up at Notre Dame or decide he's had enough and land a top flight assistant job at a top program. This is arguably the least desirable MBB job in the country.
There is hope. Kraft is the first real athletic director we have probably ever had. He's not playing, so there won't be any 6 year wait this time and if he pulls the trigger you can bet your ass he's gonna find a PROVEN WINNER AND WRITE A GOD DAMN CHECK.
What do you not get? There is no "proven" coach in their right mind that would take this job. None. Money is not the issue as if we have tons of it to spend. Shrews was considered a mini coup to be honest. We are stuck in arguably one of the three best MBB conferences in the country so there is no magical run through the conference tourney to get the automatic bid like many schools can look to for hope. As a result we need to earn our way in and that is a tall task when the bar for a 3 star player is a program that is regularly going to the dance. This is nearly an impossible task to get this program over the hump. Transfers want to go to a proven winner, young stars want the dance. Where do you turn to get the talent? No proven coach is going to want that. Good Luck Kraft.
Curse of Bo Ryan? Drlco (Chichester?) guy who ran the type of offense we would need to run for the type of players we could recruit. Boy we could've used him....
Plus he took team to visit Joe statue, and he quit mid season so that HIS choice to continue his legacy...Greg Gard ...HAD to get the interim jib and force Wisky AD to keep him on.
We could maybe been them if circumstances were different...but they aren't.
Everything and everyone has a price. Write the check and hire the coach and I'm sorry but everyone else does it this way.
Penn State basketball is well below average as in 11 or 12 out of 14. Worse than mediocre. Mediocre can make the Dance.
