I wasn’t a fan of his antics last year. But Steveson seems to have matured and become humbled over the last year. Hopefully he continues to make better decisions because he is truly talented.
I like Seth, but Steveson is just another level. He's so damn fast. Those weren't the best shots by Seth, but that may say more about Steveson's speed and defense than Seth.Nevills gave him a match, but 4 of Steveson's 5 takedowns were off of Nevills shots. Just a bad match up for Seth.
When Casey yelled that, AB had around 1:20 of riding time. I think he's was basically saying "go for a turn if you want, but it's OK to cut him if you want".Let's go when you're ready Aaron? What does that mean?
I have only see Steveson wrestle this year today...and I have the same opinion.I wasn’t a fan of his antics last year. But Steveson seems to have matured and become humbled over the last year. Hopefully he continues to make better decisions because he is truly talented.
Has a ‘fleeing the mat’ stall call EVER been awarded to the benefit of Penn State, you know the team with the actual best wrestlers for the past 10 years? One would think with the caliber of wrestlers Penn State has had, you would have seen at least one in their favor.
He got that takedown in the third that made it 6 - 2 or something like that and when the Minnesota bench yelled to release him Steveson looked disgusted. A look that said, yeah ok, but GDit - why.Looks like someone finally woke up Steveson. He looks disinterested at times.
That's what I thought as well. I expected Aaron to cut him and go for more TDs.When Casey yelled that, AB had around 1:20 of riding time. I think he's was basically saying "go for a turn if you want, but it's OK to cut him if you want".
Need to harness it better though. First couple shots were terrible. Low shots from far away with no setup = easily counter takedowns.Like the aggression from Seth.
Fans of other programs despise PSU but I don't see how anyone could not like NickNick Lee did a good post-dual interview as well. Today's effort was pretty good all around for the PSU guys.

Tough to compare how stalling is called from one dual to another. You can maybe argue that Gross should have been hit with stalling against RBY, but the calls against Verk in the Minny dual were justified IMO. From a general perspective, almost any stall call against Verk is understandable because his entire MO against any opponent with a pulse is to block/stall most of the match and try to win by one point.
Have you made one positive or even analytical post about any of our wrestlers? He wouldn't get there at all.
The fans win.Ok who do you guys like between GS and Parris? Myself think it is a toss up..Should be a great match to fast and good hwts.
Also they are keeping Gardner's weight close to 149 so something up at 157FWIW, Ironhead sounded somewhat optimistic about Brady being ready to go next weekend against OSU. Been making progress apparently.
Undefeated 4x champ.He is a 4x champ
He wouldn't get there at all.
It wasn’t fleeing the mat. He called stalling on Nevills when he hung on to Stevenson’s stand up and then again when Seth backed off the mat.
Yeah 30-10 against #6. We blowJeff and Casey with an overly optimistic conversation after the dual.
Shane Sparks has officially dubbed Cenzo "Captain Smooth". That is, unless Vinny prefers "EB".Shane just broke out "Captain Smooth" again.
Chris off the top ropeOK. We get it. You do not think Rasheed is wrestling well and are not optimistic about his chances in the post season; however, your negativity towards the guy is over the top. I am sure he is doing the best he can and has battled through multiple injuries.
Next time you want to post something about Shakur stuff a donut in your mouth instead.
Minny has tee shirts to prove it!Undefeated 4x champ.
Shades of Jim Schoenfeld:OK. We get it. You do not think Rasheed is wrestling well and are not optimistic about his chances in the post season; however, your negativity towards the guy is over the top. I am sure he is doing the best he can and has battled through multiple injuries.

Again, I had no problem with the call on Verk - the Ref clearly was not going to allow Verk to stall his way to victory... and I agree with the call, Lee had 2 TDs to Verk's 1 and just absolutely dominated the action the last 2 periods. Essentially, the Ref was making it clear to both wrestlers that next TD wins and he wasn't going to allow Verk to back into a win via illegal stalling (in this case, wrestling exclusively defensively attempting to preserve a one-point win and not carrying half the offensive action as required by the rulebook. It's an illegal strategy and when you make it clear that this is your intent and strategy you deserve to be penalized.). Gross should not have been rewarded by the Ref for pursuing such a strategy for the entire 3rd period - it's absolutely an illegal strategy to pursue, and it was quite obvious that this is precisely what he was doing (attempting to make a 1-point lead stand-up for the entire 3rd period) and it should have been penalized by the Ref, not rewarded.
Extra Bonus works.Shane Sparks has officially dubbed Cenzo "Captain Smooth". That is, unless Vinny prefers "EB".
Why Tim Horton's never jumped on that clip, I'll never know.
He tried a snatch single very early in the match that looked good. I don’t mind him taking bad shots in a clinched dual though. Good way to really measure yourself. Much better for his development than shutting down.Need to harness it better though. First couple shots were terrible. Low shots from far away with no setup = easily counter takedowns.
3rd takedown wasn't an awful shot against many HWTs ... but this isn't many guys.
Still, the effort was there, just need to refine the technique.
Gross didn’t stall for the entire 3rd period. He “only” stalled for the last 30 seconds.
Nick laughed at it but was really hoping he'd say, "No Shane...just no."Shane just broke out "Captain Smooth" again.
Certainly not the worst time to see what works and what doesn't.He tried a snatch single very early in the match that looked good. I don’t mind him taking bad shots in a clinched dual though. Good way to really measure yourself. Much better for his development than shutting down.

Sparks is the guy who thought Poochie was cool and didn't get why they killed him off.and Nick Lee played along ... that’s not helping our cause
