Confirmed it was cigars. In my follow up conversation, Bob didn't mention the working out part as his most vivid memory. Rather, he mentioned having to deal with rancid cigar breath behind the Rec Hall bleachers immediately after matches while being critiqued on his performance by Bill in his face.

Brooks and Starocci on pitch count to also prepare for making US National Team. I thought I have heard that Brooks and Starocci want to go Olympic Weights 74kg and 86kg respectively. So Starocci sticks at 174 to be close to 74kg and Brooks goes up to be a full sized 86kg. Can’t see Starocci taking an ORS and then sticking around 2 more years after 2024 to try to go for 5 NCs. And I know he’s said he may not go for 5, but how could he not? The only man in NCAA to be able to get 5 would cement him as an all time great. Truax in the portal now and apparently only weighed in at 188 or so at NCAAs this year. The pull to 184 shouldn’t be difficult for him and could train with the best of the best in the PSU room.
