Noteworthy Results & Goldfish Games: Week of 1/6 - 1/9

The bar for dumbest posts by Ironbird is exceedingly high (or low, depending on the perspective). I'd say that one doesn't even make the top (or bottom) 10.
I think Ironbird has a podcast. Deep into this, the question is asked - who haven’t the Brands made great? The guys had almost no answer - I could have woken up with a hangover still drunk and come up with at least 17 guys that fit the bill. I really need to leave a lengthy review

57 minutes in - Murin is going to be a NC

1:05 in - Nelson Brands is known to be an offensive juggernaut😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣takes breath 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

0-1 champs. 5-6 AAs.

157 is such a wide open weight. Trevor Chumbley from NW has really come on. He just beat Brayton Lee 8-4 tonight. Weight is wide open which is part of why I want Levi to go this year
Andonian hasn't wrestled yet that I see. What's up with him?

Ramos got 1st TD.
Lee Escape
Ramos throws Lee to his back
Lee escapes
Lee TD
Lee 4pt Tilt
Never let go of tilt; used arm bar from tilt to put Ramos on back a 2nd time, adjusts to headlock of sorts to parallel crossface to fall in 2:54

It was nuts.

Ramos seemed to back off the gas a little up 8-2 when they were back on their feet and then Lee went to work..

Coleman struggles with Rathjen somewhat in his match. I think he's a bit overrated at 3 right now.

B1G network Is down. Can't see jack.

Looking back at @Cali_Nittany ’s updated all-time tournament points spreadsheet and Spencer will likely end up 2nd to 4th (prob 2nd) all-time after this season. Folks like me will have less to say about his all-time place (in comparison to PSU’s greats over the last 14 years) when he does.

I think you should start dropping those raccoon emojis over at Go Iowa Awesome as soon as possible.

Iowa Considers Allowing Year-Round Hunt of Corn-Gobbling Raccoons

Critters flourish with expansion of suburbia and more planting of row crops

Shine a light at any of the buildings on Ethan Crow’s central Iowa farm at night and you are likely to see several pairs of eyes staring back, he says, and piles of scat covering the floor—signs of what farmers are calling an out-of-control raccoon problem.

Lee will be a point machine in Tulsa...we may in fact need Haines.
I heard we pulled Haines because someone told Cael 2 weeks ago that Lee is a bonus point machine at 125. Coach was flabbergasted when he heard this. He thought Lee has been getting by his entire career on close decisions and realizes the additional 8-9 points are significant suddenly. We pulled Haines to hopefully counter that.

We need a rating system for Hawk posts. Like 3 out of 5 raccoons (instead of stars) .....

The Nittany Nation Post Rating Scale.
🦝 = get real, thats dumb.
🦝🦝 = that's absurd.
🦝🦝🦝 = Ironbirds level of nonsense and delusion.
I see that @Chickenman Testa has already dabbled in this idea — it will definitely be implemented. Fair warning to those who do not appreciate juvenile behavior . . . 🙂

Lee with a championship
AA finishes from:
Cassioppi
Warner
Kennedy
Woods
Possible AA
Max

So, a good tournament gets Iowa to 80 points, maybe if a great tournament 90.

I want Levi to wrestle, but it has nothing to do with the needed points. Of course as we all know b4 noon on Friday this board will have had a meltdown on the catastrophic impact of one of the guys not securing that tech fall and the lost half point. So maybe Levi's added points will reduce the stress of that drama filled moment.

When he takes a loss, you'll be fine to keep talking. :)

Have to wonder if Brayton is gun-shy following his season-ending injury last year. Wasn’t it a rather horrific break of some sort? Can mess with a guy’s head.

Today the offensive juggarnaut Brands lit up the scoreboard with a sizzling total of 4 points against Purdue's Cooper Noehre (7-5 this season), who was wrestling up from 165 for the first time. Brands put up one TD, one escape, and a RT point. The scorekeeper had trouble keeping up.

Parco is tough. Very good defensively. Seems like a bad stylistic match up for Paniro
Wanted to give you props in regards to the debate you were having over on HR...particularly the one you made with the Nolf/Spencer comparison. I understand Nolfs greatness but the way you laid out his career and his only losses even opened my eyes. Very well done.
