Official PSU - Purdue Game Thread

Is anybody else concerned we seem to be struggling running the ball against Purdue? Passing game is great but it seems like we are depending on it during obvious running downs. Sure maybe a smart play but we should be able to run the ball even when they know it is coming.

Journey seemed to be running fine. It only seems like Slade is having problems running.

I totally believe in the targeting rule, but wow that is hard for the officials to enforce in real time. With the speed of the game it is so hard to tell.

Another coverage sack. And the play before, Reid had perfect coverage on Bell.

2 takeaways so far:
1. There are too many targeting calls.
2. Our running game stinks. Will prevent us winning big games. I guess it will change when we get O linemen who can actually block.

The best thing the NCAA did was to put in the automatic review on targeting calls, and to say that targeting had to be confirmed.

Purdue has 8 yards of offense so far. Who gets fired at halftime?

I'm trying to remember seeing PSU score 4 TDs on the first four possessions- anybody?

There are enough stoppages. They should enforce a 15 yard penalty immediately and then review the ejections at half time and after the game. You could start the ejection in the 2H or 1H of the next game.

We played great D on the tunnel screen.

David Bell would have looked good in blue and white.
