Football Ohio State defeats Penn State, 20-13

And the one guy who can get open and catch is Warren so we limit his targets in big games…go figure
And he can’t get open today either…tough to get open when defenders are grabbing and holding you.

The OSU kid made a helluva catch on 4th down. Wallace dropped 1 and muffled another. Combine that with great play by OSU db= big play.

We are lucky to be in this.

We have no luck ever..Buckeyes always get some strange clutch play
How much luck should a team expect?
A freebie TD on the pick six.
A sure OSU TD fumbled through the end zone.
Buckeyes have outplayed Nits by way more than four points.

If it was perfect, it wouldn't have been intercepted.
You realize when a ball hits a WR in the chest that pick isn't on the QB, right?
Drops happen--he has two of them today that have hurt us almost as us wasting 5 plays so far with Beau in the game

we did not play well in the 1st half...hopefully our great 3rd quarters happen again

And they have a perfect pick so it’s 2-1. And they’re up 14-10.

We can't run ball so OSU does not need to bring secondary up. They are getting effective runs and easy passes to RBs out of backfield.

PSU had a stupid taunting play that ended up in 7 for OSU.
A missed opp at 7 at the end.

Crazy mistakes have happened both ways. Time for PSU to win the 2nd half and the game.

And it doesn't mean he was a good QB. You seem to think it does.
Allar isn't Hack
Allar is an elite college QB. Watch Georgia and Texas when they played each other with their elite QBs
We haven't had an elite QB since Collins and people here don't comprehend what one looks like

2 thoughts 1. Poor use of two minute warning and use of clock! Almost worked out. #6 needs to fight for ball. 2. tOSU 20 guys on field after interception no penalty. Hope changes after half O and D......

Can’t wait for the adjustments. Really need 11 to make more than one play.

Big time players make big time plays. We don't have those.
He is trying to make a milk shake with 2% milk and half a Hershey bar. Our receivers suck and no amount of trickery will change that.
An all world TE who has one target? A RB Singleton who in space is effective and can't create outside runs for him. Not getting Allar in rhythm at all early with a short pass game. Ultimately, I agree with you, but this is not been a great performance by andy so far

Pretty blah 1at half for Allar. Made some bad decisions … whether to throw it when you had an obvious running lane, to throwing it to guys who weren’t open or even ready. Better than I expected with the knee, but still room for improvement in the 2nd half. Let’s see him settle in for this 2nd half and take over.

This offense is out of whack today!

Allar has 62 yards passing with an INT
Our leading rusher is the QB followed by the TE
Our leading receiver is the RB

AK's head must have been spinning up in that booth in the first half.

Halftime analysis: Fool's gold on that first drive. Very little since from the O. Receivers being mugged. Drew looking rattled. His numbers aren't good. Running game has not clicked. Warren a non-factor. You know it's bad when your most effective play is Drew ad-libbing with his feet. Then the pick in the end zone to top things off.

Meanwhile, the usual lack of discipline. These kids confuse strutting and showboating with toughness. That unsportsmanlike penalty equated to 7 Ohio State points, and the behavior took place right in front of the ref. It was practically an invitation to throw a flag. It's called finding ways to lose.

Score-wise, we're still very much in the game but it's hard to feel a lot of confidence given the history of this series.
PSU routinely plays man coverage on WRs and tries to get to the QB. There's not much focus on keeping the play in front of us. The problem is OSU probably has the best pass catchers in the country. Trying to stop them man with only 1 safety is a big ask. It's what we do but it's a bad plan vs OSU IMO.

The only play we have on offense is Allar running and I totally expect OSU to stop that in the second half. They've had a guy spying on Warren all game but still can't get anybody else open.

We’ve had the same mediocre WRs I feel like the last 3 years. Incredible we can’t do better than Evans, Wallace, Clifford. Denmark was supposed to be a big flip from Oregon. Questionable he cant start over these 3

If it were perfect, the score would be 17-14.

At half - OSU 191 yards offense and PSU 145. I didn’t realize it was that close.

The difference in this game is pass defense. None of our guys are running free down field. That's a disciplined defense.

The only way OSU loses is if their QB has more brain farts and/or Ryan Day clams up trying to protect a lead. If he throws it downfield and spread's out our defense, maybe with some mis-direction, we are toast. We would have to get lucky.

OSU gets the ball at the start of the 3rd quarter. Like the last come-back win, someone in the defensive backfield will have to make a big play, or maybe a DL rusher forces a fumble. Something like that if we are to have a chance.
