I thought match woulda be a lot closer. Some guys really showed up big285: Seth Nevills vs. Tate Orndorff
Per 1
Nothing thru 1 min. TO reaches, nothing. No real shots thru 2 min. Neville nearly has an ankle, nothing. A little flurry, nothing. End
Per 2
Nevills takes bottom. set is up and out quickly, 1-0. Nevills shoots, came close but TO out. Neville shoots, stuffed, now TO with a bit of a body lock but nothing. End. RT @ 4 sec for TO
Per 3
TO takes bottom. Caution on Nevills I think. Then another caution -- not sure who on. TO stands, and he's eventually out after 16 sec, 1-1. Nevills in on a single but loses it. 1 min left. Neville in on a low single, close and gets the TD with 30 sec left, 3-1. Nevills working hard, then TO up at 10 sec, 2-3. End 3-2 Decision
28-12, PSU
WTF is this ref looking at?
Had him pinned for a good 15 seconds. Most impressive.
It's Angel.... Beard had him pinned like 3 different times before he finally called it.
Nick Lee at who’s number 1Seriously though, when was the last time you saw such a clean TD against Sasso? So impressive by Beau.
Wow, that had all the markings of Brady knowing he had the blast double set up... and just kept it in his pocket until the end. Almost like if he needed it (i.e., was trying the ankle pick and a couple other things) he was just keeping it in his back-pocket.... and he just nailed it! That was lightning quick.
#chickenmantestaapprovesI just noticed the two claps in Hoffman’s face that Beard gave him after the fall!
24-3, PSU wins the TD battle
Unfortunately, saying outrageous and controversial things seems to get many people jobs in sports media.Ben Askren has lost any and all credibility with me. I don’t think he’s as dumb as he makes himself sound. But CTE, who knows?
Say what you want about tosu, but this is the truth.Few people are more classy than the Jordan brothers. I still remember Micah went out of his way to shake all 3 of our coach's hands after the techfall by Nolf (all the brothers do it) They're humble in victory and defeat.
They're all great kids who represent the sport the right way. No need to trash their wrestling when they're all great wrestlers.
Say what you want about tosu, but this is the truth.
That’s odd. I don’t remember Nick ever wrestling Sasso. Was it in high school?Nick Lee at who’s number 1
The yuks are in a rut.24-3, PSU wins the TD battle
Good effort by BB. Sasso is not a big 149 and BB looked small. He looked like a nice 141. Happy to see him represent, he showed some skills. So what did we learn about BB?
He got worked pretty good and still had energy. That says something to me.

Seth needs to spend the off season with Cassar and hit the weightsI’m really amazed at Seths lack of strength for such a big and athletic guy
The leg wasnt helping Beard, shoulda focused on the head and get off your kneesRight, the ref is 1-2 feet from the action, and you guys had a better angle.
I've had matches where a guy's back was no more than 1/2" off the mat for over 2 minutes. The stands are going crazy, the coaches are going crazy, blah, blah, blah. You just stay in position, and wait to see if the offensive wrestler ever gets the defensive wrestler into an actual pin.
Beard would have gotten the pin sooner if he changed the grip on Hoffman's head, and elevated it. As it was, he was reaching across and Hoffman elevated the right shoulder. Beard was countering that with his moves on Hoffman's right foot.
Disappointed that HR has no thread on the match, because I really do like to see their thoughts. Like here, most of them are informed wrestling fans. Was looking forward to their PBP and perspectives.

I almost forgot there's not enough time when the tanning beds close at 9:30.Any extra matches tonight?
BoBars TD was not only lightning quick but timed perfectly, I expect more of the same if he sees Sasso at BJCI think Brady is like that poker player who waits all night for the big pot. He spends his time reading his opponent, studying tendencies, and when it’s time to go all in, he’s ready.
Others will know better than I, but some of these guys are great at figuring out foot patterns of the opponent. Maybe Brady is one of the best.
