Wrestling Rutgers Dual Thread 1/16

Must not watch much of Gable huh?
Who? Is that the guy The Raptor beat twice a few years ago? ............No seriously, I've seen Gable. I just like to throw out statements for lonely people who have nothing better to do than hang out on a foe's site on a Sunday evening. You're welcome.

I think Beard has lost a couple of times in previous years to Bulsak.

Edit: I guess they have actually split decisions.

So so difficult to say who the best wrestler is on the team right now since we got a bunch of great ones but I’m really starting to lean towards it being Carter.
Tommy will not let Kemerer take the mat in the dual against Starocci. Hell I am not convinced he will take the mat in the Big10 finals, if Mike gets that far. Semi final mff.

Order restored. SeaBass does his thing against our backup. MVB wins without an offensive point somehow and Negron..well we can’t have studs at every weight. Cstar dominates a guy he should, Brooks and Dean shows there’s different levels to this thing

edit..and Kerk ends with a big pin. Also. Give credit to Drew starting us off

Random thought but did Brady beat Creighton in a wrestle off? Hard to imagine Cael just gives him the 165 match without something to indicate he's ahead of Creighton.

Why does Angel Rivera do 100% of PSU's matches? He's so freaking gawd awful. Missed a clear stall call when Shaver very clearly pushed Hildebrandt off the mat in a standing position with no other intent than to maintain top position - that is stalling by both spirit and letter of the rule. He then calls the wrestlers OB at edge when Hildebrandt initiates a "standing switch" when Shaver was clearly in-bounds and Hildebrandt comes in-bounds as he goes into switch......

The guy is f'ing brutal.
I'm glad he does.

At CHA, B10s, and NCAAs, you have to beat the opponent AND the ref.

Rivera gives our guys live practice.

Just think, we're going to get to see Lee/Micic, Brooks/Amine, Dean/Brucki, Starocci/Massa and Parris/Kerkvleit in less than a week. Not to mention Hildebrandt/Suriano, Berge/Amine and RBY, Ragussin. That's the best possible dual you could put together this season.

Pretty strong performance for Dean given that Brucki is definitely a top-5 guy. He had how many TDs? He'll learn from giving up those switches - next time he faces Brucki it won't be as close. Even still, he won 9-6 pulling away (keep in mind, he was down in the match in 2nd).
