Burroughs gets gold by forfeit as Chamizo was evidently here to rack up seeding points, and he'll get enough to be the #1 seed next month.

Downey wrestled for bronze but lost 7-6 after going up 6-2 off three shrug go-behinds.

Cox coming up shortly for gold match on mat B, Snyder a few matches after that.

EDIT: Cox techs 10-0 for gold, and Snyder wins 2-1 for gold. Cox wasn't scored on all tournament.

Cox looked phenomenal this whole tournament! I’m not sure if anyone even touched his legs. His defense has always been otherworldly and his offense has always been elite but he just didn’t pull the trigger very often. Recently though he has really upped his attack rate and he’s killing people. Plus his top game his jumped levels lately. He turned multiple guys this tournament. I’m really interested to see what he does next year. I think he’s to big to cut down to 86. I also think that if he goes up that he beats Snyder. It’s so stupid that there are only 6 weights for the Olympics! No matter what the USA has a world champion sitting at home. One of DT, Cox, or Snyder won’t get to compete. I really hope DT makes the team but Cox scares me. Looks like one of the very best wrestlers in the world regardless of weight right now.

Yes, and one of Burroughs & Dake will be sitting as well. That makes 2 US world champs not competing in the Olympics due to the reduced # of weight classes!
