Teasdale

Goodbye and yes good riddance. Best to happily move on. The lightweights who are heavy with emotional drama continue to suck up energy. Teasdale should be ignored just like Nick Sorry-Oh-No ... whatever-his-drama-was.

Don't feed their 18 year old nonsense. One can be empathetic or sympathetic, but take a note from Cael: Be detached.

When Marstellar had personal issues long after he decommitted from PSU, many on this board continued to wish him well, hoped he'd get his life together, hoped he'd get a chance to compete at the highest levels of wrestling again. I was in that camp. Now that Chance is doing well, most on here seem to applaud him turning his life around.

I have no idea what is going on with Gavin, but similar to Chase, I wish him well. And I hope he has a chance to accomplish his goals and dreams in wrestling and in life.

I don't see any reason to lump him in the Suriano category. Just my opinion.

Heavy with emotional drama -- his or yours?

Good riddance? Please. Hard to say that if truly detached. That's a statement of hostility.

Wishing him well is basic human decency, and harmless.

The nonsense appeara to be much older than 18.

I am guessing your job is writing sympathy cards for Hallmark …...or not......

As if wishing him well does any good besides feeding one's own ego and, of course, virtue-signaling to others. You think he is following this thread, oh so-noble-one? If you are offended, I'm happy to send you a greeting card as well.

General George Patton: “It has always been my unfortunate role to be the ray of sunshine ...”

DMM: “I have never had your misfortune.”

"Good riddance" sends a signal too. About the person who says it.

PS, I don't preume to know who follows threads. We all know John Brooks does. Larry Lee, Neil Alton, and Lauren Brown all have in the past. But so what? Nasty and spiteful are OK because he's not watching?

the Gavin/Desanto trade-off was huge for Iowa and it likely never happens without Cael’s involvement in recruiting Gavin.

Something to remember when Iowa is the overwhelming favorite in 2021 (outstanding foresight to delay Kem’s eligibility, btw.)

Thanks, Cael.

Thanks Cael for 7 of 8, soon to be 8 of 9. Thanks too all that Lemon is just plain sour.

With DMM, you need to check the time of his posts, before reading. If they happen after 10 PM, just move on. Not sure what his drink of choice is, but after 10, he's probably had too many.

I am certainly not offended ….and I imagine the others aren't either. I think the general feeling is that people are surprised that you are not remotely embarrassed by your own comments.
If wishing someone well is just to feed one's own ego and purely virtue-signaling to others...…….what is telling some teenager having troubles... "Goodbye and Good Riddance" good for? "Don't feed their 18 yr. old nonsense" Again....an 18 yr. old suffering through issues is "nonsense" in your world? Sounds like a dark world...……. Peace

If he is having issues...perhaps he should withdraw from BWI for "Health Reasons". Wait...….that would be nonsense......nevermind :)

you can safely presume that far more families of wrestlers follow this board.
Oh really? In that case....

To the Parents of Jason Nolf,

Please accept my apology. In no way did I ever mean to deny your son of his lineage. I also never meant to bring into question the possibility that two humans could ever create "the perfect athlete". Although I still feel Jason is not from this world, I've now decided that it's probably best that I no longer speak of it on this or any other public forum again. I truly am sorry.

Agreed, imagine if they visited the McAndrew board? My god

I only went there a few times during football season, wow, I couldn’t take it, and that was early in the season when we were winning.

that depends on how you analyze it.

before the season, it's usually very positive. During games, in Game Threads, it's a lot of negativity and overreaction. You have to understand that when reading a game thread. If PSU wins, it's mostly positive, though a few threads are started by those that find problems with some player, some coach, something, etc. If PSU loses, the board is pretty nasty on Saturday. Generally, the board starts to rebound toward normal by Sunday afternoon/evening. Alas, the negativity will reappear Monday morning after those that only access from work will add their thoughts. By Tuesday, the board usually reverts to positive. The aforementioned is a lot of generalization, and on a board with so much traffic there are exceptions to almost every general pattern. That said, I've been monitoring it for more years than I care to admit, and the aforementioned patterns are the norms during football season.

I don't think Cael is ready to concede 2021 just yet. Whole lot of wrestling and developing going on over the next few years.

No Teasdale, not sure if Cael would have taken DeSanto...he was basically kicked off the Drexel team, not sure if Cael would have wanted to deal with the issues that DeSanto is having at Iowa.

Think about it, a program like Drexel told a future All American wrestler to leave.

The PSU program is that point where they do not need to take a risk with a wrestler who has potential off the mat issues such as grades or behavior.

Imagine if kids and parents picked schools based on message boards most closely matching their personalities.

Our roster would be a mix of ultra polite kids, and knuckleheads and goofs.

Iowa would be some really solid guys and some lunatics, plus one who wants to fight on a bridge.

Pokes would be comatose.

Rutgers would be feisty.

Minnesota would have some guys who need a chill pill. (Too soon?)

I've spent some time on other sports boards, and find the pattern very similar.

I suspect there are graduate school papers being written about internet message board psychology (and pathology).

After the last zombie is put down and we restart civil society the first thing the new dictator will do is out law social media in all forms.

If that were the case, the Hawks would draw all the wrestlers who expected to be 4 time champs, but never medaled in high school ;)
