Teasdale

I did not read the whole thread , but have a thought about the Teasdale situation. It has been pretty much confirmed that some of the intial problem was off the mat issues. However with the thought he was maybe going to wrestle at Scuffle and then did not I am wondering if weight issue has come into play. He might not be able or committed to go 125 and the coaching staff and or Gavin realize that 133 might not be an option because RBY skills and potential recruits.
If you see him transfer and go 133, I think maybe the PSU roster created the situation.
Just a thought.

To be honest... As a fan of PSU wrestling and what it represents on and off the mat, and knowing what i know now, I still consider rolling the dice on Teasdale over DeSanto the better decision.

Not a chance in hell weight played a primary role in his leaving the team this year.
Agree. Reading between the lines, he was removed from the team. If it is a weight issue, play it smart and finish the semester and learn in the best room in the country.

I didn't say it was a primary role. I was aware of issues before it was even public knowledge he was leaving the team the first time. I didn't post anything about his situation because I didn't want to be questioned how I knew it.
In my post about weight potentially being a factor of what eventually happened. I was commenting how the situation changed at the Scuffle. I would think more than one athlete can have trouble coping with the thought of not being able to compete at a sport that he once dominated.
I wasn't trying to create controversy, but just presenting something to consider.
I have not been in contact with the person that would probably know, it was strictly just my fodder.

I went on a ski trip to Killington Vermont and there was a severe frostbite warning. Top of the Mountain before they shut it down because of high winds was, -55 wind chill.
To give you an idea how cold it was, my gloves must have been damp from sweat or moisture and I could not bend the fingers by the time we got off chair lift.
Made 2 runs and went to Lodge and drank my first of many Myers Rum and Orange Juice beverages.

I know this isn't anyone's business but from a dedicated fan's perspective you track what is going on, get excited with news, and are interested in 'why' when something occurs that created excitement previously. So yea, I would like to know some details on why he left the program. Hell, would still like to get the real scoop on why NS left. Do I expect to hear, unfortunately I don't due to privacy issues. But us without the inside scoop, yea, we would like to know. Curiosity is human nature.

I'm fortunate to know people that have some knowledge of the behind the scenes of the wrestling world.
When I commented about NS situation and was questioned how I would know, keep in mind I'm based out of the Lehigh Valley and know guys that are friends with Smalls. Matter of fact I talked to Smalls once in Deitzi Tavern. In addition my nephew has been an assistant high school coach for years.
When I comment about off the mat criminal issues such as Rohn's wife or Chlebove my best friend works for one of the larger police departments. I only try to post things when it would be public knowledge thru court paperwork.
Years ago I drank beer and played softball with the Blair head coach before Buxton. His name was Bob Latessa who later became head coach at Lehigh. He was good on telling me where some recruits were going.
I've just been around people who know stuff.

I swear I read that somewhere before....

I'm a bit envious as everyone usually likes to be 'in the know'. No offense to you i was just trying to provide some sentiment around the general 'none of your business consensus the pops up every once awhile.

Is it Groundhogs Day? :)

What makes it one of your favorites?

The people, all across the Caribbean there are great people (except our recent trip to DR, never going back there!) but we really enjoyed the people there. Easy island to get around on, other than they drive on the wrong side. Great beaches (of course) and great food! There was a small fish sandwich stand near our hotel were we got lunch a lot, awesome sandwiches cheap, made with fresh fish!

Well if Gavin wasn't making the sandwiches why are you posting here lmfao. This is a Gavin teasedale page dammit lol

Umm, cause I was asked, plus nothing really to discuss about Gavin.

I will only add, best of luck wherever he goes, unless he is wrestling a Nittany Lion!

I’ve been reading about their food trucks and beach shacks. A fish cutter is a flying fish sandwich; sounds good. Have heard the locals are very friendly here; and it is home to world’s oldest rum distillery. o_O
No desire to return to Dominican Republic.
Probably liked Grand Cayman best so far out of about ten islands visited in Caribb.
Oh yeah,
- Good luck Gavin

If you read between the lines in Cael’s interview on the matter you could infer Teasdale was kicked off the team. As far as Suriano goes everything he’s spoke about regarding Penn State has pretty much checked out. I was told he just didn’t fit in with the team and kept to himself mostly

I would say this is completely accurate. I met Suriano at the team banquet after they won the National championship in St. Louis and he stood at the back by himself the whole time and looked miserable. All the while his teammates were having fun and celebrating together. I remember thinking to myself how does this kid fit in with this PSU team. Shortly thereafter, he was gone.
